En esta oportunidad con una aventura un tanto diferente, hace poco tiempo atrás se había conversado con los compañeros de Biciaventuras pasar un fin de semana en la población de Ocumare de la Costa para disfrutar de la bahía de Cata ya que, aún faltaban algunos de ellos por desbloquear este nivel.
This time with a somewhat different adventure, a short time ago we had discussed with the Biciaventuras teammates to spend a weekend in the town of Ocumare de la Costa to enjoy the Bay of Cata since some of them still had to unlock this level.
A veces es un poco complicado ponerse de acuerdo así que, en esta oportunidad, los compañeros: Jonathan, Yvonne, Gaby y Lardy asumieron el reto de esta ruta; desde el principio Claudia comunicó se iba con su familia y era necesario llevar los vehículos para el regreso, entonces decidí junto a Violeta (esposa de Jonathan) seriamos el apoyo logístico.
Sometimes it is a little complicated to agree so, in this opportunity, the companions: Jonathan, Yvonne, Gaby, and Lardy assumed the challenge of this route; from the beginning, Claudia communicated that she was going with her family and it was necessary to take the vehicles for the return, then I decided together with Violeta (Jonathan's wife) we would be the logistical support.
En el camino nos encontramos con Tomás, otro compañero que se unió junto a su familia al paseo en su vehículo; ellos se adelantaron para esperarnos en la playa, en nuestro caso íbamos despacio por las condiciones encontradas en la carretera y a pesar de esto, los chicos se adelantaron considerablemente en sus bicicletas.
On the way we met Tomas, another companion who joined us with his family for the ride in his vehicle; they went ahead to wait for us on the beach, in our case we were going slowly due to the conditions found on the road and despite this, the boys were considerably ahead on their bikes.
Mi compañeros cuentan que en el camino se consiguieron con los Biciaventureros: Henderson, Eliecer y Esther, los cuales habían salido a dar un paseo por la montaña y continuaron con su recorrido para encontrarse con el arco que indica la entrada al municipio "Costa de Oro" en Ocumare de la Costa, caracterizado por ser zona de playa y turismo.
My companions tell me that on the way they met the Biciaventureros: Henderson, eliecer, and Esther, who had gone for a walk in the mountains and continued their journey to meet the arch that indicates the entrance to the municipality "Costa de Oro" in Ocumare de la Costa, characterized by being a beach and tourism area.
Esta aventura comenzó el día sábado 10/09/2022. No solo fue la oportunidad de 76 Kilómetros para que los amigos desbloquearan este nivel, además fue la ocasión de compartir en familia las playas, la comida y la buena compañía. Para ello alquilamos una posada cerca de Bahía de Cata.
This adventure began on Saturday 10/09/2022. Not only was it the opportunity for 76 kilometers for friends to unlock a level, but it was also the occasion to share the beaches, food, and good company with the family. For this we rented an inn near Cata Bay.
El sol estaba bastante fuerte cuando subieron por la empinada carretera, es un poco complicada porque el asfalto es irregular y esto hace más exigente el camino. En lo particular, iba emocionada por verlos avanzar en este tramo, el cual saca lo mejor de cada ciclista y allí se demuestra la voluntad, la fuerza de las piernas y la capacidad pulmonar.
The sun was quite strong when they went up the steep road, it is a bit complicated because the asphalt is irregular and this makes the road more demanding. In particular, I was excited to see them move forward in this stretch, which brings out the best in each cyclist and demonstrates the will, the strength of the legs, and lung capacity.
Llegamos a la posada con la satisfacción de haber logrado el objetivo, el grupo se instaló e hidrató para recuperar fuerzas y nos fuimos a la playa al encuentro de Tomás y su familia. Claudia también había llegado y acordamos encontrarnos en la bahía, teníamos hambre, pedimos almuerzo y nos deleitamos con un exquisito pescado frito y tostón.
We arrived at the lodge with the satisfaction of having achieved our goal, the group settled and hydrated to regain strength and we went to the beach to meet Tomas and his family. Claudia had also arrived and we agreed to meet at the bay, we were hungry, we ordered lunch and enjoyed exquisite fried fish and fried green plantain.
Pasamos la tarde en la playa y vimos el atardecer mientras algunos jugaban Beach Tenis. Luego regresamos a la posada, el ambiente era relajado y tranquilo, aprovechamos degustar delicatessen que habíamos llevado, nos sentamos fuera de las cabañas a conversar, al rato llegó Joanny con su pareja y el ambiente se puso festivo.
We spent the afternoon on the beach and watched the sunset while some played Beach Tennis. Then we returned to the lodge, the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet, we took advantage of tasting delicatessen that we had brought, we sat outside the cabins to talk, after a while Joanny arrived with her partner and the atmosphere became festive.
Nos despedimos para ir a dormir como a la 1 a.m., fue el primero de tres días pasados en éste destino paradisíaco. Luego del rico desayuno del domingo, nos reunimos a la orilla de la playa y colocamos nuevamente la cancha de Beach Tenis para seguir compartiendo. Aprovechamos el tiempo porque los compañeros de Biciaventuras retornaban a la ciudad para atender sus responsabilidades.
We said goodbye to go to sleep at about 1 a.m., the first of three days spent in this paradisiacal destination. After a delicious breakfast on Sunday, we gathered at the shore of the beach and set up the Beach Tennis court again to continue sharing. We took advantage of the time because the Biciaventuras teammates were returning to the city to attend to their responsibilities.
Las chicas fuimos a dar un paseo a uno de los extremos de la Bahía. Cerca de la montaña, está ubicado un río vertiendo sus aguas en el mar y es una maravilla, porque se consigue agua dulce y salada al mismo tiempo y se puede escoger el baño en ellas, según el gusto de cada visitante. Por supuesto aprovechamos para tomar fotografías.
The girls went for a walk to one end of the bay. Near the mountain, is located a river pouring its waters into the sea and is a wonder, because you get fresh and saltwater at the same time and you can choose to bathe in them, according to the taste of each visitor. Of course, we took the opportunity to take pictures.
En la tarde despedimos a los compañeros de ruta. Para Claudia, su familia y mi persona aún quedaba un día más de aventura en una playa famosa por su belleza llamada "La Cienaga" Ubicada a unos 20 minutos en lancha desde el muelle "La Boca", en Ocumare de la Costa. Embarcamos a las 10 a.m. del día lunes y fue emocionante el trayecto para conocer un nuevo destino.
In the afternoon we said goodbye to our partner's route. For Claudia, her family, and I there was still one more day of adventure on a beach famous for its beauty called "La Cienaga " located about 20 minutes by boat from the dock "La Boca" in Ocumare de la Costa. We embarked at 10 a.m. on Monday and it was an exciting journey to get to know a new destination.
La alegría estaba presente en cada uno de nosotros. Suelo mantener las expectativas al margen, pero confieso había escuchado muchos comentarios favorables de esta playa y me resultó difícil no alimentarlas; éstas quedaron cortas a medida que avanzaba la lancha e iba visualizando la hermosura del paisaje.
The joy was present in each one of us. I usually keep my expectations aside, but I confess I had heard many favorable comments about this beach and it was difficult not to feed them; these were short as the boat advanced and I was visualizing the beauty of the landscape.

One of the comments I had heard was about the "Paso de la Virgen" because the strength of the waves intensifies in that area and I felt a little uneasy, but I remained relaxed because on the outward journey the sea was calm and the breeze was in favor of the boat. Upon arrival I stopped to observe the beauty of the landscape, the crystal clear and warm water invited me to relax, I never imagined I could lie in a hammock on the beach, this paradise had it as well as a swing. The trees at the edge of the beach protected us from the sun.

Claudia y yo fuimos a conocerlo, se encuentra a pocos metros de donde nos encontrábamos, es una casa cuyos espacios externos fueron adornados con figuras y letreros...no tuve la oportunidad de conversar con la persona dedicada a su cuido y resguardo.

Llegó la hora de despedida de éste paraíso, cada uno fue recogiendo sus pertenencias para embarcar nuevamente; eran aproximadamente las 4 p.m. del día lunes y aún nos faltaba camino por recorrer, el "Paso de la virgen" fue complicado porque la brisa y las olas iban en contra de la lancha y los movimientos, además de los saltos, fueron intensos.
It was time to say goodbye to this paradise, and everyone gathered their belongings to embark again. It was about 4 p.m. on Monday and we still had some way to go, the "Paso de la Virgen" was complicated because the breeze and the waves were against the boat and the movements, in addition to the jumps, were intense.
Luego de la tensión del viaje de regreso, llegamos a la posada para bañarnos, recoger las maletas y regresar a la ciudad. En el camino pensaba en estos tres días de aventura disfrutados al máximo. Cerré mis ojos y pensé: "definitivamente hay pedazos de cielo en la tierra y tengo la fortuna de conocer varios"
After the stress of the return trip, we arrived at the inn to bathe, pick up our bags and return to the city. On the way, I thought about these three days of adventure enjoyed to the fullest. I closed my eyes and thought: "there are pieces of heaven on earth and I am fortunate to know several of them".

Lo mejor de todo está práctica a parte de un buen para la salud es conocer estos hermosos lugares y compartir en compañía de las otras persona que se encuentran haciendo la misma ruta. El ciclismo es un hermoso deporte y me gusta ver en la comunidad como se comparten estás experiencias con los otros usuarios.
