La peor racha // The worst streak
El primer duelo de la gira por Maracaibo se disputó el jueves, 17 de noviembre. Los turcos confiaría en Jesús Fandiño para que tratara de mantener a raya a la ofensiva zuliana, mientras que los locales depositaron su confianza en Eudis Idrogo.
El bullpen eléctrico fue utilizado desde la segunda entrada, debido al cansancio y fatiga de los jugadores por el largo viaje, sin embargo, a pesar de haber realizado una labor de calidad en las primeras entradas, la ofensiva no terminó respaldando el esfuerzo de los pitchers y en el sexto/séptimo episodio se terminó de abrir el juego, al anotar las Águilas tres de las cuatro carreras que realizaron en el compromiso.
Con el marcador del estadio Luis Aparicio «El Grande» marcando 0-4 a favor del Home Club, Magallanes tuvo un ligero intento de reacción en el octavo capítulo, cuando llenaron las bases con un solo out al haber recibido tres boletos, pero como ya viene siendo costumbre el tan esperado batazo no llegó y tras un elevado de sacrificio de Edwin García, que impulsó la carrera del honor, los zulianos lograron sacar el último out del inning.
The first duel of the Maracaibo tour was played on Thursday, November 17. The Turks relied on Jesús Fandiño to try to keep the Zulian offense at bay, while the locals put their trust in Eudis Idrogo.
The electric bullpen was used since the second inning, due to the tiredness and fatigue of the players because of the long trip, however, despite having done a quality job in the first innings, the offense did not end up supporting the effort of the pitchers and in the sixth/seventh episode the game ended up opening, when the Águilas scored three of the four runs they scored in the game.
With the score at the Luis Aparicio "El Grande" stadium being 0-4 in favor of the Home Club, Magallanes had a slight attempt to react in the eighth inning, when they filled the bases with only one out after receiving three tickets, but as usual, the long awaited hit did not come and after a sacrifice fly by Edwin García, which drove in the run of honor, the Zulianos were able to get the last out of the inning.

El tan esperado día para los fans del actual campeón, el día en que se acabara una racha que se estaba tornando muy extensa, no pudo llegar en un mejor marco, puesto que fue previo a lo que será el cuarto Caracas-Magallanes de la temporada y especialmente en el clásico juego del 18 de Noviembre, fecha de la Patrona del estado Zulia, la Virgen de Chiquinquirá.
En un duelo de pitcheo entre el lanzador naval, Yohander Méndez y el marabino Mario Sánchez, los locales comenzaron la celebración desde el tercer inning al verse arriba por primera vez en el marcador, aunque entrando al sexto episodio la visita empató con sencillo de Maikel Serrano, los del Zulia rápidamente respondieron para retomar la ventaja e incluso extenderla a dos rayitas.
Las tribunas cada vez más alegres por las festividades y porque su equipo estaba ganando, siguieron apoyando cuando en el octavo los navales se acercaron con una carrera, pero todo cambio en el último inning del encuentro, cuando Alberth Martínez con bases llenas, dos outs y conteo de 2-2 pegó un sencillo al left fielder que trajo no solo la carrera del empate sino que también la de la victoria.
Situación que llevó a que el público presente quedara perplejo al ver como su cerrador estelar, Silvino Bracho, no pudo retener a la segunda mejor ofensiva del campeonato y el cerrador de Magallanes, Bruce Rondón, si pudo sacar los outs veinticinco, veintiséis y veintisiete sin mayores contratiempos.

Mis impresiones // My impressions
Aunque se que muchos esperaban más de lo que realmente vimos por parte de Magallanes en esta pequeña gira de dos días por el occidente del país, me satisface un poco saber que el equipo cortó con la mala racha en un juego especial y que además lo hizo viniendo de atrás en un escenario con buena asistencia de público, a mi parecer este puede ser un antes y un después positivo para la Carabela, ya que se viene una seguidilla de partidos en casa y el primero de ellos es ante el Eterno Rival.
Además de lo mencionado anteriormente, la directiva ya ha contratado par de relevistas que se sumarán en los próximos días, para tratar de darle la profundidad necesaria a un relevo que ha venido causando muchos problemas, si estas importaciones resultan ser de una calidad aceptable seguramente estaremos hablando en las próximas jornadas de cómo la Nave eleva sus anclas para despegar en la tabla.
Although I know that many expected more than what we actually saw from Magallanes in this small two-day tour of the west of the country, I am a little satisfied to know that the team cut the bad streak in a special game and also did it coming from behind in a scenario with good attendance, in my opinion this can be a positive before and after for the Carabela, as a series of home games is coming and the first of them is against the Eternal Rival.
In addition to the above mentioned, the board has already hired a couple of relievers that will join in the coming days, to try to give the necessary depth to a relief that has been causing many problems, if these imports prove to be of acceptable quality surely we will be talking in the next few days of how the ship raises its anchors to take off in the table.
