El impacto que las palabras tienen en el ser y actuar de las personas muchas veces está más allá de lo que podemos imaginar e incluso controlar. Esto lo veo reflejado en la forma que el equipo del Barcelona F.C. viene afrontando la situación que arrastra desde hace al menos un par de temporadas. Una situación que se ha catalogado como de "reconstrucción" del equipo y que han llevado adelante en un primer momento Koeman y ahora Xavi. No obstante, su actitud no ha sido, según mi parecer, la más acertiva para este caso.
Concretamente aquí me refiero en las implicaciones que consigo llevan las frases "Esto es lo que hay" de Koeman que transmitían un conformismo y el "no merecimos ganar" de Xavi que dicha ya tantas veces dejan un mensaje desmotivador y de falta de un accionar efectivo, pues, no es sólo hacer un "Mea culpa" sino también que el mismo esté acompañado de los cambios pertinentes.
Más aún si nos vamos a un análisis más psicólogico pero aplicándolo a lo deportivo, es más bien contraproducente el hecho de echarse la culpa constantemente ("soy de lo peor", "me merezco todo lo malo, " no sirvo para esto", etc.) pues, esto se instala en nuestro inconsciente y sin darnos cuenta nos bloquea en la lucha por el logro de nuestras metas. Esto que sucede a nivel individual también acontece en el plano colectivo.

El último partido disputado por el Barsa es un claro ejemplo de lo dicho hasta aquí, pues, el equipo salía sabiendo que ya estaba eliminado de la Champions League, por lo que por puntos no iban jugar. No obstante, si lo debían hacer por sano orgullo, ya que entre otras cosas se enfrentaba en su propia casa con su eterno verdugo europeo: el Bayern de Munich.
¿Cuál fue el resultado? Ya lo sabemos, un estrepitoso 3-0, que sin quitarle méritos al Bayern se notaba tanto un bajón anímico como un plan planteamiento estratégico en el Barcelona dónde se le regaló - al menos en los dos primeros goles - mucho espacio a un equipo de altísimo nivel que no perdona estas ocasiones.
Ni que hablar del desarrollo del partido en general, sólo algunas individualidades provenientes de jugadores como Dembélée o Lewandowski, pero del resto no hubo alguna propuesta certera y con contundencia del equipo. Ni siquiera se concretó el que por estos lares llamamos el "gol de la honra" que maquillara el resultado.
Luego del partido, una entrevista que le hicieron a Pedri me dejó perplejo porque me pareció escuchar a Xavi cuando volvió con el "no merecimos ganar", y es que eso ya lo vimos los espectadores¿Por qué no completar la frase o darle fuerza a otras cosas? Algo que dé más ánimo al equipo, porque lo que al principio parece una sincera autocrítica termina convirtiéndose en un "no hacer nada" al final, porque no lo merecen.

La actitud que transmite el "no merecimos ganar" se traslada incluso hacia los fanáticos que muy indignados nos encontramos ante un equipo que empezó la temporada prometiendo de todo. Ni siquiera el apoyo acérrimo de los asistentes al Campo Nou en el último partido les fue suficiente, al menos ellos se merecían una mejor exhibición que dieran razones para seguir creyendo en el equipo, pero no, "no lo merecían".
En este sentido, lo que le reclamamos al Barsa es su falta de congruencia. La que no han tenido en la cancha de juego aún armando una plantilla de nivel respetable. Es decir, que por falta de recurso humano no es. ¿Es su dirección técnica? Tal vez, al respecto sólo diré que siento a Xavi como muy prematuro o ingenuo para los retos que el club blaugrana hoy está enfrentando.
¿Todo está perdido? Ni muchos menos, todavía hay posibilidades de conquistar otros títulos, y he aquí donde se debe poner el enfoque ahora, ya basta de detenerse en el "no merecer", esto o aquello, es hora de poner los medios y esfuerzos necesarios para no sólo sentirse merecedor sino de serlo realmente, y esto sólo lo demuestran en el terreno de juego y no en palabras huecas que no son coherentes con lo que al día de hoy estamos viendo.

A situation that has been labeled as a "reconstruction" of the team and that has been carried forward at first by Koeman and now by Xavi. However, their attitude has not been, in my opinion, the most appropriate for this case.
Specifically, I am referring here to the implications of Koeman's phrases "This is what it is", which conveyed conformism, and Xavi's "we did not deserve to win", which, when said so many times, leave a demotivating message and a lack of effective action, since it is not only about making a "Mea culpa" but also that it is accompanied by the pertinent changes.
Even more if we go to a more psychological analysis but applying it to sports, it is rather counterproductive to constantly blame ourselves ("I am the worst", "I deserve everything bad, "I am not good for this", etc.) because this is installed in our unconscious and without realizing it blocks us in the struggle to achieve our goals. What happens at the individual level also happens at the collective level.

The last match played by Barsa is a clear example of what has been said so far, because the team went out knowing that they were already eliminated from the Champions League, so they were not going to play for points. However, they had to do it out of pride, since among other things, they were facing their eternal European executioner, Bayern Munich, in their own home.
What was the result? We already know, a resounding 3-0, which, without taking away Bayern's merits, showed both an emotional slump and a strategic plan in Barcelona where they gave away - at least in the first two goals - a lot of space to a team of the highest level that does not forgive these occasions.
Not to mention the development of the match in general, only a few individualities coming from players like Dembélée or Lewandowski, but from the rest there was no accurate and forceful proposal from the team. Not even what we call in these parts the "goal of honor" to make up for the result.
After the match, an interview with Pedri left me perplexed because I thought I heard Xavi when he returned with "we didn't deserve to win", and we spectators already saw that, why not complete the sentence or give strength to other things? Something that gives more encouragement to the team, because what at first seems like a sincere self-criticism ends up becoming a "do nothing" in the end, because they do not deserve it.

The attitude conveyed by the "we didn't deserve to win" is even transferred to the fans who are very indignant with a team that started the season promising everything. Not even the staunch support of the fans at the Campo Nou in the last game was enough, at least they deserved a better display to give them reasons to continue believing in the team, but no, "they didn't deserve it".
In this sense, what we complain to Barsa is their lack of congruence. The one they have not had on the playing field, even though they have assembled a respectable squad. Is everything lost? Far from it, there are still possibilities to conquer other titles, and this is where the focus should be put now, enough of stopping at "not deserving", this or that, it is time to put the necessary means and efforts to not only feel deserving but to be really deserving, and this can only be demonstrated on the field of play and not in empty words that are not consistent with what we are seeing today.
