Es un orgullo estar en contacto directo con toda mi #familia #hive. Y más orgullo aún es estar inmerso, y representar a mi fabulosa familia @fulldeportes donde quiera que mis contenidos se disfrutan. En tal sentido #fulldeportes nos propone encender nuestra máquina del tiempo para adentrarnos en el pasado, y describir nuestras emociones referidas a Mi Momento Olímpico Preferido. Excelente iniciativa, puesto que ya se dio inicio a tan magno evento mundial en Tokio 2020. Por lo que es propicia la ocasión para extender la invitación a mis hermanos @yusmi, @mocha15, @omarrojas, @vanessacala, @greengalletti, @cielitorojo, @lisbethseijas, y @zullyscott para que nos describan ese momento olímpico que marcó sus vidas. Ahora si hermanos, vamos al desarrollo de mi histórico momento.
Deseo destacar que este momento olímpico no solo es mi preferido, sino que lo viví aunque desde mi hogar, muy de cerca por estar inmerso en los Juegos de Barcelona el #baloncesto, #deporte que es mi pasión, y más aún porque también venía siguiendo de cerca al equipo desde su hazaña al quedar campeón en el sudamericano de 1991. Traigo esto a colación porque puede ser que otros de mis hermanos hagan mención al mismo evento olímpico. De igual forma que cada quien tendrá una visión diferente al respecto. Dicho contenido ya lo tenia avanzado, incluso para lanzarlo sin saber que se daría esta iniciativa, de todas forma vamos a disfrutarlo. Gracias y vamos a la acción.

El deportista encargado de la ejecución de tan grandiosa hazaña, es nada más y nada menos que nuestro héroe Arlindo Gouveia quien naciera en en Punto Fijo, estado Falcón Venezuela el 22 de diciembre de 1969. Este personaje es maestro en la disciplina de taekwondo; #deporte que ha llevado desde los 9 años en lo más alto durante toda su vida. Este atleta es hijo de padres portugueses.
Arlindo Gouveia
The athlete in charge of the execution of such a great feat, is nothing more and nothing less than our hero Arlindo Gouveia who was born in Punto Fijo, Falcón state, Venezuela on December 22, 1969. La fabulosa carrera de este excelente luchador inicia a los 9 años, cuando da sus primeros pasos en la escuela Hung Ki Kim de la ciudad de Puerto La Cruz, estado Anzoátegui Venezuela. Este #deporte para él significa reto, disciplina, autocontrol y vocación; pero como todo atleta sus inicios no fueron fáciles, sin embargo con constancia, motivación y dedicación fue escalando posiciones hasta convertirse en un rival difícil de vencer, porque para ser un maestro, primero hay que ser novato, tanto así que su apodo era el ojo de tigre y con razón venían los triunfos, tenía el ojo de tigre como #Rocky. Tuvo una destacada participación siendo campeón en juegos infantiles, juveniles y adulto lo que le valió su entrada como seleccionado nacional. En tal sentido, aunque todavía novato, a nivel internacional participó en los juegos Panamericano de 1986 donde no obtuvo ninguna medalla, sin embargo la experiencia iba en crecimiento. Y nos vamos a los Panamericanos de 1987 en Indianapolis Estados Unidos. Aquí si ganamos medalla de plata, e iniciaba una vida de victorias para nuestro héroe Arlindo superando por todo lo alto lo que se llama el ciclo Preolímpico, para así obtener un pasaje en primera clase a tan magno evento mundial. Como nota especial para el mundo, el taekwondo en Venezuela no era visto como tal, sino como el Karate coreano, cosa que Gouveia se encargó de cambiar.

Para que nuestro héroe olímpico se diera cita en Barcelona 1992, tuvo que pasar y salir airoso de varias pruebas; comenzando con su grandiosa actuación en los Juegos Bolivarianos de 1989 celebrados en Maracaibo, estado Zulia Venezuela, ganando el oro tras llegar a la final y derrotar al boliviano Luís Mercado. Iniciaba la dictadura venezolana en este #deporte de la mano de Arlindo. Y nos vamos al Mundial de Seúl de 1989. Este sería el primer mundial de nuestro héroe, evento que tuvo una importantísima relevancia ya que en cuartos de final se enfrentaría al campeón olímpico de Seúl 1988, el temible coreano Kwon Tae Ho. Pero eso no le importó a Arlindo porque lo mandó a la lona varias veces. Aquí gano el trofeo espíritu de combate. El taekwondo ya era visto en Venezuela con otros ojos, estábamos lejos de ser la cenicienta. Programamos ahora la máquina del tiempo hacia los Juegos Centroamericanos de México en 1990, donde Arlindo elevó nuestra bandera a los más alto de podio, al derrotar en la final al cubano Amaury Bautista. Seguían los triunfos. Nos subimos al avión y nos vamos a Puerto Rico a disputar los juegos Panamericanos de Bayamón de 1990. Nuevamente el héroe Gouveia obtendría oro tras darle su merecido al estadounidense Juan Moreno, quien para su momento era subcampeón olímpico en dos oportunidades. Eso fue golpe y golpe para afianzar la disciplina venezolana en el mundo. Y allí no quedaba la cosa, porque para finalizar el ciclo Preolímpico de manera perfecta Arlindo derrota al mexicano Agustín Ayala, para así ganar la medalla de oro en la categoría de los 54 Kg. Sin embargo el taekwondo era un deporte que se presentaba por segunda vez en juegos olímpicos y para mala suerte de nosotros era considerado #deporte de exhibición, por lo que la medalla obtenida no era reconocida oficialmente. Pero para Arlindo oro era oro, cosa que años después cambiaría. En estos juegos la taekwondista Adriana Carmona ganaría el bronce bajo las mismas condiciones. Aunque el oro no era oficial, nuestro Gloria al Bravo Pueblo sonó tan duro como cuando Morochito Rodríguez ganó la primera presea dorada para Venezuela. Este 4 de agosto se cumplen 29 años de esta grandiosa hazaña orquestada por Arlindo Gouveia, nuestro héroe. Oficialmente y por el momento la medalla obtenida por Ruben Limardo ganada en Londres 2012, sería la segunda para Venezuela.

La proeza alcanzada por Arlindo reviste gran importancia y causó muchas emociones a nuestra nación, ya que para ese momento Venezuela contó con la participación de 29 atletas, de los cuales 5 obtuvieron diplomas y las 2 únicas medallas que se ganaron, fueron precisamente por la disciplina de taekwondo, el oro de la mano de Arlindo Gouveia, y el bronce por Adriana Carmona. Por otra parte al ganar el oro, Arlindo se convertiría en el primer campeón olímpico sudamericano de taekwondo, reinado que mantuvo por 20 años ya que desde Londres 2012 comparte este hecho con el argentino Sebastián Crismanich. De verdad que cuando observé esos combates sentí una emoción que no tenía explicación, ver a nuestro héroe en la punta del podio, ver subir nuestra bandera y escuchar a toda voz nuestro Himno Nacional, no tenían comparación.

Tiempo en que derramó todos sus conocimientos y técnicas para seguir forjando campeones. De igual manera formó parte del equipo técnico olímpico que entrenó a las taekwondistas Adriana Carmona quien ganara nuevamente bronce en Atenas 2004, y a Dalia Contreras que también obtuvo bronce pero en Beijing 2008. Como dato importante, Adriana es la única criolla en ganar dos medallas olímpicas. Por si fuera poco Arlindo Gouveia forma parte del Salón de la Fama del #Deporte Venezolano. Actualmente se encuentra en España pero siempre alerta del Taekwondo Criollo.

Saludos amigo @omarcitorojas, hazaña como la de Arlindo Gouveia, son las que no tuve la oportunidad de presenciar, ya que aún no había nacido, pero leer sobre su historia es realmente un orgullo para el País, y ahora que lo veo referenciado en varios artículos, conozco un poco más de él.
Así es hermano y Arlindo como Morochito y Rubén, son estandarte de Venezuela. Cuando participó en esos juegos Olímpicos de Barcelona 92 nadie nada medio por él y se enfrentó a verdaderos maestros del taekwondo, sin embargo con dedicación, entrega, motivación, disciplina y habilidad pura pudo vencer prácticamente a sus creadores.
