Cruz que el año pasado vio acción con los Nacionales de Washington, consumió 448 turnos en 124 juegos despacho 10 vuelacercas, anoto 50 e impulso 64 carreras respectivamente; compartirá el rol de bateador designado con Matt Carpenter; pero más allá de esto hay marcas que el dominicano pudiera romper e imponer si logra mantenerse sano y es consistente con su bate; además todo esto va depender del tiempo de juego que pueda tener en San Diego.
