I'm happy to update the Hive community on our recent Hive activities in Ghana and the developments surrounding our Hive empowers communities projects. The projects have all been about empowering communities with the power of Hive while also exposing Hive to a wide range of people. The primary goal of the project has been to provide potable water to communities who have experienced a water crisis. Three Hive water projects have been constructed under the initiative and we hope to have more of these in other communities.

Under the project, we also reach out to schools, particularly those in deprived areas, and provide them with educational resources. The Hive Branded Books were created with this goal in mind. The Hive book is an important resource that we believe may aid students with their academic work, and with the relevant information it contains about Hive, many students and teachers can learn more about Hive through it.

The first donation was made recently at the SDA school in Anwomaso, where the third Hive water project was held, and 250 books were donated to the school. We also embarked another visit to three schools in Agona, where we had the second Hive project.

WEEK 1 - Hive Visits Methodist Junior High School

One of the three institutions in the town of Agona that we visited was the Methodists Junior High School. As part of the Hive Empowers Communities project, which also helps needy children in eprived areas, we decided to donate 200 books to each of the three local schools, starting with the methodist school, which we had visited first.

It was such a great moment when we(@mcsamm and I) with some elders of the the Agona town got the school. After receiving the books, the head teacher and staff expressed their gratitude and distributed copies to the junior high school pupils. These books gave great excitement to the junior high pupils who received them and they were a great source of motivation to them as they were preparing for their exams.

Hive Awareness Creation

Introducing people to Hive has been one of the key aspects of the Hive empowers community project, and this tour to the schools has been an excellent opportunity to do so. After the donation, we got the chance to have a presentation with the teachers and the students about Hive and how they could be part of the the Hive ecosystem. They can learn about Hive by starting with the Hive Branded Books, all the pertinent information to get them started can be found at the book cover. Following the presentation, we continued to interact with the students and inspire them to pursue their academic goals seriously and to put more effort into realizing their aspirations.

Appreciation
Our first-week promotional tour to schools was successful in raising awareness of the hive. All of these have been made feasible by the support the project has gotten from the Hive ecosystem via @valueplan. We are grateful to the Hive community for the support as Hive continues to have a positive impact in Ghana.

I never had the opportunity to visit West Africa but did visit the east when I was in the military. However your region is well represented in my area by the many people from Conakry, Guinea, Nigeria and other parts, as they stand out for their ability to speak French. It's amusing to witness the puzzled looks on the faces of my fellow Americans when they hear that romance language coming from the lips of peole from your great continent.

I love how you combine life-giving water and education about Hive with support for students. I've labeled your water project "Boreholes of Hope" as to me, they are drilling a pathway of possibilities for the future. You @mcsamm and others didn't wait to take action, You saw a need and filled it, making use of your own innovation and the support provided by Hive.

Your work is also being archived on the blockchain and indexed by Google, providing continuing inspiration to other communities. It doesn't get any better than that. Godspeed! And as they say here in America: "Drill, baby, drill!" :)

Thank you very much for your kind words. You really inspire us to go above and beyond. It's great when we find opportunities and don't keep them to ourselves, but instead share them with others, which is precisely what @mcsamm and I want to do. We can only feel truly happy when those around us are happy. "Boreholes of Hope" has truly captured my heart. That's fantastic. Thank you so much; we will certainly keep up the wonderful work.

Loving hive...

Indeed, we can do more with the hive ecosystem. Thank you for providing such inspiration @evernoticethat. We are committed to doing more to improve lives in Ghana and beyond by promoting the hive ecosystem.

I am hopeful that the coming weeks will help us do more for the other schools we intend to visit. Thanks for helping to make this a reality bro.

Always a pleasure doing it with you @mcsamm

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the idea of reaching out to the deprived schools. Yeah, the book's cover will definitely translate the information, meeting up the goals of getting it distributed.
Keep it up.

The main reason we will continue to promote Hive is because we believe it has the potential to change lives, and this is true as shown in the majority of the posts we have published about our project.
