In my case every time I see new and accessible material or a type of braiding that I haven't done, I immediately want to try to practice it. Such happened to me with this double coin knot. I had seen it before, but honestly I hadn't paid attention to it until I started creating for #jewelry, so I must mention that thanks to this community I have learned new things and that makes me very happy. This time I made two bracelets: one with double coin knots and the second with Franciscan knots. Both very simple easy to make and that together complement each other beautifully. Here are the details: | Cuando empiezas a realizar accesorios simplemente es difícil detenerse. En mi caso cada vez que veo material nuevo y accesible o un tipo de trenzado que no haya realizado, de inmediato quiero probar practicarlo. Tal me sucedió con este nudo de moneda doble. Lo había visto antes, pero honestamente no le había prestado atención hasta que empecé a crear para #jewelry, así que debo mencionar que gracias a esta comunidad he aprendido cosas nuevas y eso me hace muy feliz. En esta oportunidad realicé dos pulseras: una con nudos de moneda doble y la segunda con nudos franciscano. Ambas muy sencillas fáciles de realizar y que juntas se complementan de manera hermosa. Les dejo los detalles: |
The materials used are:
2.7 meters of lilac colored thread.
9 black and 9 transparent muranos.
12 silver plated 4 mm. beads.
7 transparent beads.
Los materiales usados son:
2.7 metros de hilo color lila.
9 muranos negros y 9 transparentes.
12 balines plateados de 4 mm.
7 cuentas transparente.
For the first bracelet we take 2 meters of thread and fold it in half. We introduce a round translucent bead and we make a simple knot. At 7 centimeters from that point we make another simple knot followed by a round transparent bead through which we have to pass the other threads. We start the first double coin knot; we take the thread on the left and form and 6 and with the thread on the left we make another 6 but the other way round. | Para la primera pulsera tomamos 2 metros de hilo y lo doblamos a la mitad. Introducimos una cuenta redonda translúcida y hacemos un nudo simple. A 7 centímetros de esa punta hacemos otro nudo simple seguido de una cuenta redonda transparente por dónde hemos de pasar anos hilos. Empezamos el primer nudo de moneda doble; tomamos el hilo de la izquierda y formamos y 6 y con el hilo de la izquierda hacemos otro 6 pero al revés. |
Next we pass a black murano through one of the threads and a transparent murano in the other thread and we make a new double coin knot and in this way we advance until we have inserted seven muranos on each side interspersed with the coin knots. When we reach the end we pass a transparent round bead on both threads. We finish with a transparent round bead at the end of the thread. The closing is made with a Franciscan knot. | Seguidamente pasamos un murano negro por uno de los hilos y uno transparente en el otro hilo y armamos un nuevo nudo moneda doble y de esta forma avanzamos hasta que hayamos insertado siete muranos de cada lado intercalados con los nudos moneda. Al llegar al final pasamos ambos hilos una cuenta redonda transparente. Rematamos con una cuenta redonda transparente en el extremo del hilo. El cierre lo hacemos con nudo franciscano. |
For the second bracelet, a little simpler, we start with a silver ball at the end and continue with a simple knot and at 7 centimeters we make the first Franciscan knot. We introduce a ball, a transparent round bead and a second ball, we adjust with a Franciscan knot and we run it well attached to the stones. Again we introduce the three stones in the same sequence and another Franciscan knot. In this way we advance until we reach the desired size. We must finish with a Franciscan knot, we leave 7 centimeters for the closing and we introduce a ball and a simple knot. The clasp is made with a Franciscan knot. | Para la segunda pulsera, un poco más sencilla, empezamos con un balín plateado en el extremo y seguimos con con un nudo simple y a 7 centímetros realizamos el primer nudo franciscano. Introducimos un balín, una cuenta redonda transparente y un segundo balín, ajustamos con un nudo franciscano y lo corremos bien pegado a las piedras. Nuevamente introducimos las tres piedras en la misma secuencia y otro nudo franciscano. De esta manera avanzamos hasta completar el tamaño deseado. Debemos terminar con un nudo franciscano, dejamos 7 centímetros para el cierre e introducimos un balín y un nudo simple. El cierre lo hacemos con nudo franciscano. |
These two bracelets complement each other in a very beautiful way and are subtle and at the same time very showy because of the sparkles of the crystals.
