This week humbled me in ways I didn’t expect. I faced a serious challenge in my area of specialty, the kind that quietly eats at your confidence and makes you wonder if you’re really as capable as you thought.
There was a moment I almost gave in to frustration and tears. But then, help came, not from strangers, but from people who truly understood the weight of what I was facing. Fellow minds in my field who stepped in, offered guidance, shared knowledge, and lifted me when I couldn’t lift myself.
It reminded me that strength doesn’t always mean doing it all alone. Sometimes, it’s found in community, in the willingness to receive, to lean, and to learn.
And to anyone struggling quietly, remember this: it’s okay to need people. It doesn’t make you weak. It makes you "human".
I had the priviledge of training a group of incredible women on tie and dye production and honestly, it turned out to be more than just a workshop. It was a journey of patience, resilience, and rediscovery.
There were moments that tested my calm ; colors gone wrong, patterns refusing to cooperate, and techniques that needed repeating. But each time I looked at their faces; eager, determined, hopeful, I remembered why I started: to share what I love and to help others find strength through creativity.
By the end of it all, the fabrics came out beautifully, not because everything was perfect, but because we poured our hearts into it.
Watching those women hold up their finished dyed pieces with pride reminded me that empowerment doesn’t always come loud and bold sometimes, it shows up in dye-stained hands, shared laughter, and the quiet confidence of women who now know they "can".
I’m grateful for the experience, the lessons, and the reminder that when women create together, something powerful always unfolds.
