Greetings to all the lover of hive and members of this community @diyhub it's so nice to be here today to share with you the making of this scrunchies hair band from my little niece from the pieces of left over fabric from the outfit I made for her. But first, I will like to wish out Muslim friends happy sallah to you and I wish you more celebration of it in good health and prosperity.
For some times now, I have been making different outfit for my sister's children and as explained in my post, every outfit made must be accompanied with a matching accessory and after making the outfit, the left over pieces is usually used to create something nice and beautiful just like this one for this particular outfit.
After making this outfit, I thought of a matching accessory to make because I have a small piece left after the cutting and sewing process, so I decided to make a scrunchie hair band for her hair, join me in the making process
I marked and cut out a long piece of 28 x 3", it was folded in two and sewn together on the wrong side.
It was turned inside out to the right side and ironed.
I measured and cut out an elastic band of 0.5 x 7" and inserted it in the long piece after which the edges were sewn together.
As simple as that, this is the final outcome, now my niece will be so glad to have a matching scrunchie hair band with her outfit. I hope you like the beautiful outcome.
