It's a beautiful day and I hope you are all doing great, it's my pleasure to share with you in this creative community the making of a Bible cover made from left over fabric for my friend in church whose Bible cover had torn and no looking nice.
Bible or book cover are so important and useful to prevent our Bible or book from being torn, most times, these cover behind our books are not strong enough that before you know it, it will start to wear out and peeling off, to prevent this, it is advice able that we buy or make another cover just like this one I made for my friend to prevent the book cover itself.
I new Bible was presented to me recently and I quickly made a cover to it from pieces of left over fabric I had and I usually take it to church, when my friend saw it, she requested that I help her make a cover just like mine to cover her Bible too, but has as already been torn and not looking nice at all, I took it home and agreed to my help her with it.
The Bible cover I made for my friend was made from just two pieces cut out from left over fabric, it is very simple and easy to make as well with just few steps.
Below is the cutting and sewing process.
From the pieces of left over fabric, I cut out 2 pieces of fabric with the measurement I took from the Bible, it was opened while I took the vertical and horizontal measurement and added 2" to the vertical and 4" to the horizontal measurement
I added interfacing to one of the pieces while the other was used as lining.
The other piece was placed on it right side to right side and it was sewn round leaving an opening for it to be turned inside out.
It was turned inside out through the opening, I ironed it and top stitched on it round
I folded in 2" on both sides and it was taken to the sewing machine to be seen down
As simple as that, my friend's Bible was fixed in it and this is the final outcome.
The Bible was presented to my friend in church on Sunday and she was very happy and appreciate the work I did.
You can also have your books wrapped this way to prevent the cover, I hope you like the beautiful outcome.
