Hola comunidad de creadores:
El mes de las flores está por terminar y me ha costado trabajo decidirme por una manualidad con el tema de participación propuesto para esta jornada. Fue entonces que un motivo muy especial me dio el pie para que se me ocurriera hacer lo que hoy les traigo. Es el décimo mes de vida de mi hija y quise obsequiarle algo especial y por eso decidí regalarle algo elaborado con mis propias manos: un cintillo y una pulsera adornados con flores de tela.
Pensé en un jardín con flores muy colorido. Visualicé un arcoiris y me dispuse a hacer pequeñas flores de tela que luego coloqué sobre una cinta de color verde simulando el tallo que sujeta a estas flores. De esta forma quedó listo el regalo para mí bebé y a continuación les narró en detalles su confección:

The month of flowers is coming to an end and I had a hard time deciding on a craft with the theme of participation proposed for this day. It was then that a very special reason gave me the idea to do what I bring you today. It is the tenth month of my daughter's life and I wanted to give her something special, so I decided to give her something made with my own hands: a headband and a bracelet decorated with fabric flowers.
I thought of a colourful flower garden. I visualised a rainbow and made small fabric flowers which I then placed on a green ribbon simulating the stem that holds the flowers. This is how the gift for my baby was ready and here are the details of how it was made.

Materials and tools used:
- Aguja de coser a mano.
- Tijeras.
- Hilo (cualquier color, pies las puntadas quedan ocultas).
- Cinta elastizada de color verde.
- 7 cintas de colores (los del arcoiris)
- Hand sewing needle.
- Scissors.
- Thread (any colour, feet the stitches are hidden).
- Green elastic ribbon.
- 7 coloured ribbons (rainbow colours).

Corté la cinta verde elastizada a la medida de la circunferencia cefálica de la bebé y empaté sus extremos. De igual manera corté otro tramo con la medida del diámetro de su muñeca. De esta forma ya tenía el tallo para las flores.
I cut the green elasticated ribbon to the size of the baby's head circumference and tied the ends together. In the same way I cut another length to the diameter of her wrist. This way I had the stem for the flowers.

Las tiras en colores las corté a un ancho aproximado de 1.5 centímetros. Un nudo simple en un extremo será el punto de partida de nuestras flores.
The coloured strips I cut to a width of approximately 1.5 centimetres. A simple knot at one end will be the starting point for our flowers.

Iniciando por reforzar el nudo, continuamos con puntadas hilván por uno de los bordes de nuestra cinta.
Starting by reinforcing the knot, we continue with basting stitches along one of the edges of our ribbon.

Luego tensamos el hilo, haciendo rizar la cinta en esta forma y dejando un pequeño espacio en la cinta sin puntadas.
Then we tighten the thread, making the ribbon curl in this way and leaving a small gap in the ribbon without stitches.

Pasamos la aguja nuevamente por el punto inicial, logrando cerrar la pieza y distribuyendo los rizos de forma equitativa como si fuera un abanico en forma circular.
We pass the needle again through the initial point, closing the piece and distributing the curls evenly as if it were a circular fan.

Acomodamos el nudo inicial para que sea nuestro centro en la flor, además también tapa esta unión que queda acá y no se ven las puntadas.
We place the initial knot so that it will be our centre in the flower, and it also covers this joint that is left here and the stitches are not visible.

Así queda nuestra flor, solo se refuerza por la parte de atrás para que quede bien fuere y no se nos vaya a zafar las puntadas.
This is what our flower looks like, it is only reinforced at the back so that it stays in place and the stitches don't come loose.

¡Llegó la hora del montaje! Como si fueran botones iremos pegando a nuestra cinta las flores, empezando por tapar la costura del empate.
Now it's time to assemble! As if they were buttons, we will glue the flowers to our ribbon, starting by covering the seam of the tie.

Según el orden consecutivo de los colores del arcoiris se irá colocando el resto de las flores.
According to the consecutive order of the colours of the rainbow, the rest of the flowers will be placed.

Una vez colocadas todas las flores, este será el resultado de nuestro trabajo. ¡Ya está listo para ser entregado!

El regalo fue entregado, creo que se ve muy bien en la beba y ya tengo un encargo de mi sobrinita de seis años que ayer lo vio y le gustó mucho.
The gift was delivered, I think it looks great on the baby and I already have an order from my six year old niece who saw it yesterday and liked it a lot.
