BDCommunity Presents: Weekly Writing Contest [Week-1]

While we at the BDCommunity thoroughly enjoyed hosting the Splinterlands Quidditch, we understand a large part of the community is not involved with the game, yet.

With that in mind, we have been preparing to revamp our writing contest for quite a long time now. Now, we pick up from where we left off, but this time, we want it to be as light and as humorous as we can make it.

So, without further ado, we, BDcommunity, present our third ever writing contest.

In continuation of our previous contests, we plan to continue hosting this one too for 4 weeks. So get you fingertips ready and sharpen away your sense of humor. With all that's been happening around the globe, we could all use some crack'a'lacking!

So, get ready to become our next Manchurian Candidate. Git Gone' Cowboys!

This week's Topic: Write something funny about any politician you lIKE or HATE.

All the details and conditions of the contest are as follows.

Winners and prizes:

This contest will have 3 winners and 100 HIVE in prizes. They will be distributed as follows.

  • First Place- 50 HIVE.

  • Second Place- 30 HIVE.

  • Third Place- 20 HIVE.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The entries should only be written in English.

  • Entries should not be less than 350 words.

  • Only one entry per contestant will be counted as valid. Do not use the tags and the title more than once.

  • The post title should include "Manchurian Candidate [My Favorite LOLitician]". For example, Manchurian Candidate [My Favorite LOLitician] [Your Title Here].

  • Use both #LOLitician #BDCcontest among your tags.

  • Tag a friend: Invite someone to participate. And Include a link of this post somewhere in your entry.

  • Put down a comment with the link of your entry below.

  • Submission is due within Friday 10:00 AM GMT+6 sharp. Entries will not be accepted after 10:00 AM.

Evaluation Process:

  • Failure to follow any of the conditions as mentioned above will cause an automatic disqualification.

  • Please refrain from using vulgar words and stick to the Topic.

  • Refrain from personal attacks. We only want lightweight, easy to digest jolly hearted humor.

  • And, as always, @azircon will be judging the winners.

  • There will be three Winners, 1st place-50 HIVE, 2nd place-30 HIVE, 3rd place-20 HIVE.

  • The winners will be announced in our weekly voice meeting next Friday 10 PM GMT +6.

                  Yes, you're right. Many of us yet to get involved in Splinterlands Quidditch, including me.

                  So, this initiative, I hope, will be a good platform to swing the mood as the craze of the Splinterlands players will always make us look like — "yeah, we're missing the fun out there."
