in BDCommunity2 years ago

As a child, I loved the classic children's book Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. As a child, I'd wonder about the story's many wonderful stories and riddles, and now I am a grown-up, I appreciate the timeless quality of the tale. Here are some things I might not have noticed in my own youth but am now grateful for as an adult.

The story begins with Alice being seven years old and sitting by the river. She and her sister notice a talking white rabbit. Alice follows it and eventually falls down the rabbit hole. After falling a long way, she discovers a mysterious hall filled with many locked doors. Through the door, she finds a key that will unlock a small door. She is able to see a garden, and eventually finds the key to a bottle labeled "DRINK ME." As she grows older, she becomes more confident in her own abilities and starts to confront the Queen of Hearts.

Throughout history, the story has been adapted into countless films and comic books.

While Alice in Wonderland is an iconic children's book, it's also a great introduction to poetry. This book tests the limits of children's imagination and will have your child laughing the whole way through. The author is also notoriously controversial, and some children have even asked him to write their school essays. Despite these problems, however, his books have inspired generations of children.

Lewis Carroll was a brilliant wordsmith. He created Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, and invented words like "uglification," "frumious," and "chortle." His goal was to entertain children through poetry. Consequently, this book features a glossary of words that can be applied to many different situations in everyday life. Regardless of the age of the reader, the text is sure to delight.

The story is set during the Victorian era, a period of extreme propriety and excessive emphasis on morality. Lewis Carroll, a mathematician, was also a keen student of mathematics, and many scholars suggest that Alice in Wonderland is a satire of modern mathematics. It even ponders such concepts as size and limits. Moreover, the story makes societal and mathematical references and is full of symbolism.

The story is filled with moral lessons for children to apply to their everyday lives. Throughout the story, the Mock Turtle sings "Beautiful Soup" and the Gryphon drags Alice to trial. But she's not the only one suffering. The story teaches us to think critically about our own choices. So even though we make mistakes, we're all still learning and growing.
