One of the worst decision you can make in life is relying on other people, human's loyalty is questionable and most people only stick around when things are good with you, you will see them respecting, hailing and praising you because of the benefit they get from you but the moment things turn sour you will see their true nature...
Which reminds me of the story of a man who lacks vision and wisdom, he was blessed with a beautiful wife and two children, it could have been one happy family but the man prefer spending more time and money on outsiders who he called friends rather than his family, you will see him at bar, sport center and other places having fun with friends, wasting his resources and his wife would always tell him he is on the wrong path but a stubborn man can not be convinced until he learn his lesson in a bitter way...
Due to the excess of alcohol he used to drink, he was diagnosed with a heart disease and would need a substantial amount to cure it, he spent all his life savings on this sickness yet it only get worse, all his friends left and didn't bother to check on him when they realize he can't spend on them anymore, only his family stay solidly behind him, they went through the pains together until he recovered...
He was bitter and dissapointed that those people he treated well abandoned him without thinking of the past, how he used to be there for them, he realized how precious he is to his family, even tho he learnt the lesson in a hard way, he survived it and was glad he had a second chance to make things right, he knows his real ally, those who are for him and against him now..
Many people have passed through this stage in life but not all were lucky enough to have a second chance to correct their mistakes, some died with regret so in whatever we do, self love and family is very important..
Moral of the story
- Always put your family first because no matter how you treat them, they will always be there for you during your bad days..
- Friendship made from drinking ain't a true one, it start from drinking and ends when there is nothing to drink...
- Don't try to please people at your detriment, it never ends well..
