A daughter was born during a road accident that left three family members dead on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway. The fatal tragedy happened around 2:30 pm near the court building area in Trishal Upazila. The dead were revealed as Jahangir Alam, 35, his wife Ratna Begum, 26, and their daughter Jannat Ara, 5. He went to Trishal Upazila Headquarters with his daughter and eight-month pregnant wife to have his wifeโs ultra-sonogram checked. While traversing the highway, a speeding Mymenshingh-Bound Truck struck them down.

The accident allegedly pulled the baby out of the mother's womb, and she was delivered on the spot. Locals rescued the infant and rushed her to Trishal Upazila Health Complex. After conducting an X-ray, it was reported that the newborn had a fracture in her right shoulder, but her overall condition was fine.

The childโs medical expenditures are being funded by a Trishal businessman who did not want to be identified. The district administration will shoulder the cost of bringing up the kid and all her medical needs. Necessary steps will be taken after talking to the childโs family.
So, it took me barely three paragraphs to write about three deceased leaving behind a newborn. Life Huh!
The good thing is that a nurse in the hospital is breastfeeding her, and the government will take care of the rest. She may not get the affection she deserves, but she will live. The entire nation sympathizes with her; many want to adopt and steer her to a better life. How can I not be proud of my people! Am I? Are you? Why not!
But I am outraged. With me, you, and our people. Are they even aware that 29 more were down for the count on that very particular day they even aware on that particular day, 29 more were down for the count? What about them? Who is going to take care of the loss of their family?
In Tangail's Mirzapur, at least four people died, and nine others were wounded when a bus plowed into a truck on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway at 4:30 am. A bus operated by Binimoy Paribahan from Dhanbari ran into the rear of a sand-laden truck, killing three passengers on the spot.

Hours later, at 11:30 am, a bus crushed a mother and her two children on the same route near the Bangabandhu Bridge. The victims have been identified as Parveen Akter, 27, her daughter Sadia Akter, 9, and son Sumon, 7. Agitated locals blocked the roadway demanding a footbridge at the scene following the tragedy, disrupting traffic for more than two hours.
On the opposite side of the Bangabandhu Bridge, in Sirajganjโs Tarash, a Dhaka-Bound bus and a truck slammed trees during a head-on collision on the Hatikumrul-Bonpara Highway, killing three persons on the spot. Two of the deceased were Mirazul Islam, 34, from Pabnaโs Ishwardi, and Abdul Aziz, 42, from Rajshahiโs Bagmara. The second victim could not be identified immediately.

Four civilians were massacred when a pickup truck collided with a car in Bogura's Kahalu Upazila. The victims have been confirmed as Tanser Ali, 60, his son Togor Ali, 35, Abdur Rahman, 35, and the car's driver Sumon, 30. Tanser, a cancer patient, was on his way to Bogura from Naogaon for treatment when a truck collided head-on with the automobile.
A truck wrecked a tiny passenger car locally nicknamed Leguna near Pubail, killing a passenger at 4 am. The victim has been identified as Moniruzzman, 38.

A 90-year-old farmer died in Jhenaidahโs Kaliganj, and three others were wounded when a truck rammed an autorickshaw from behind in the Pirojpur area. The victim has been identified as Lokman Hossain.
There are many more like these. And itโs happening every fucking day. Yes, I am horrified. Do you know why? Every damn accident and one thing in common. A Reckless Truck Driver. Do you even know ninety percent of the Trucks in Bangladesh donโt have a license! Thatโs why they canโt even be traced. So, whatโs the authority doing? Forget about them. How many times did you and I ring 999? Yeah! I know! Itโs equivalent to the point if we are awarded for being a responsible citizen. It actually doesnโt matter to us unless the one beneath the lorry is special to us. Guilty! Who?
Oh! Donโt even assume those drivers have a license. And the remaining ten percent, most of them carry a permit for Taxi.
