Organic farming and quality control of products

in BDCommunity3 years ago (edited)

You may know that before each product reaches the consumer, a quality control body makes sure that the product is convenient for consumer use. I am writing this for those who are keen and well aware of this issue. The interesting thing is that when the question brings up about quality control of any product the first thing that reaches to our mind is food items. But, besides food there are many products which quality need to be secured. For example, I am working in a laboratory at a multinational company where the quality of garments is ensured. The aim of these tests are to identify the presence of hazardous elements in the products which could be allergenic or carcinogenic. This means that quality control of everything from food to clothing is very important to maintain our good health.

Since the content of my writing today is the quality control of products, the above words have come to the fore. One of the reasons for this is that we are constantly being infected without knowing it. You may not be able to imagine that everything from food to wearables is contaminated with thousands of hazardous substances. You may have heard of a chemical called formalin which is used as a preservative of dyes and chemicals. But sadly, a class of unscrupulous traders use these formalin in fruits, fish, vegetables and other foods for long-term preservation. In my own laboratory I have tested this formalin which is very much harmful to human body. Where the level of formalin in textile products is not acceptable above 20 PPM, we mix it in food which is very difficult to accept as a conscientious person.

In my laboratory there is a test called Pesticides which we do mainly for textile products. It is tested to check whether any kind of pesticides were used in it during the production of cotton. Because if pesticides are in textiles and people wear those, it is a serious risk to them and the environment. But today we use pesticides to control insects during cultivation. From rice to wheat and other necessities like fruits and vegetables it is being used to control unwanted insects but it is very harmful to human health. After seeing all these I have decided not to use any pesticides or fertiliser in my garden. Here is my organic garden pictures.

We use different types of fertilizers to increase crop production. Excessive use of this fertiliser is harmful to human health. We use this fertilizer not only for growing crops on a large scale but also for growing a variety of fruits and vegetables. This fertiliser is made through chemical processing which are not good for human health at all. But if we want we can use organic fertilizer instead of chemical processed fertiliser.

I have a rooftop garden where I grow a variety of flowers, vegetables and fruits. I always try to cultivate those in organic ways. I never buy pesticide or fertiliser from the market. I always try to make organic fertiliser with different things around me and here are some pictures of the process of making this.

I try to take care of these plants and trees every week. I mix organic fertiliser with soil and plant new seedlings with them. It is also prepared for old and growing trees. I use it for my flower plants as well. Here are some pictures of flowers.

Let’s all try to cultivate with organic materials so that we can get chemical free fruits and vegetables and that should be our goal.

Just as the way some farmers inject ethane into fruits to fasten or hasten it ripening process, which is bad for one's heath if consumed.
Excellent write up Bro.
