Charles and Rose have been friends for a long time but were scared to make their feelings known to each other. Charles had fell in love with Rose ever since the first day he met her but he became friends with her to know more about her before asking her out.
Rose was the most beautiful lady in the school and her heart was as pure as her looks, she was everything Charles wanted in a woman. Just after their service to their country, Charles proposed to Rose and surprisingly she accepted with so much joy.
Rose and Charles got married and they could hear people describe yjem as the most beautiful couple. They grew their love day by day and were living happily together until one unfortunate day.
Rose developed a disease that made her started loosing her beauty and she became so worried and decided not to let her husband, Charles know about it. She thought of ways to make her husband leave for work as he usually does so she could hide her deteriorating face from him.
Rose felt really sad and depressed that she was going to die as an ugly and rejected person, she wished death could come earlier to take her away. And then, Charles was called for a business and he traveled just a few days after Rose learnt of her disease and she was happy he was leaving so he doesn't see her ugly self.
Rose hoped she will die before he came back but it didn't happen as she planned. Charles came back after some time but the unexpected happened, Charles came back blind. Even though she was sad that her love lost his sight, she was happy that he would not be able to see her as her beauty fades away.
They continued living happily as Charles treated her like a queen even in his blindness, she wished for it never to end. She wished death didn't come anymore but her wish didn't come to pass. Rose died and Charles decided to leave their house to live elsewhere. People were worried about how he would be able to find his way around but he gave them a shocker:
"I am not blind, I was only blind to my love but she is gone now" If she had knew I could see her ugly self, she might have killed herself or felt like a burden to me but I didn't let that happen. "Her beauty will surely fade with time but my heart and love will always remain the same for her".

i love your story. It has a nice twist and highlights the sacrifices we make for the things and people we love. In this case, a lie had to preserve their love. would Rose have done the same if she was in perfect condition? It is worth pondering over.
It is worth it to acknowledge that although she had a disease that made her ugly, She died thinking Charles was blind, meaning she spent her last days taking care of him considering his condition and him being blind didn't change how she felt about him. So to answer your question, She would probably have done the same.
My thought: she wanted to die because because she felt imperfect for her lover. Her imperfect became acceptable after she spotted an imperfection in her lover--his blindness. Chances are their relationship would have taken a different turn if he did not lie about his blindness. He had to come down to her level of imperfection so the relationship could continue. So lets look at this from a different angle. What if her lover was the imperfect one and she had no faults, do you think she would stay considering all i have said?
My thought:
The thing is she stayed regardless, even when she felt her imperfection may somehow make the man leave her, she chose death instead of living a life without the one she loves. That's enough to say she would have done the same if cases were reversed.
Maybe, because she felt her beauty somehow had something to do with the love he has for her.
You would also note that since he acted like he was blind he immediately became the imperfect one, because it is assumed that she thought he never saw her ugly face. Meaning since she didn't know he was pretending to be blind, she would have assumed he still imagine her as the pretty lady she was and yet she was with him during those "blind days"
What if she wouldn't have done same for him? I don't think it would have mattered to Charles because he does love unconditionally. Well, it's still a part of the story worth pondering over.
Are humans capable of unconditional love? That is another question

You don't need to open your eyes for everything, their are some thing you just need to be blind if you really want an happy home
Our loves to our wives should not be conditional love.. what did I mean by this you shouldn't get married to her because of are physical appearance once this is fail,u will definitely loss you love..
And that might led to slot of issues because that personal reasons why you get married as being wipe of.
That does not mean you should not married a woman of you choice but in marriage one need to be blind let learn from the story

Love should be blind to all errors, faults and weaknesses of the other person.
Such a nice story. People say love makes one stupid, but if stupid is what I have to be to enjoy everything that love offers then I don't mind being stupid. What Charles showed is that he meant every word when he said for better or for worse.
