If anyone had told Vanessa that she would still be married till date, she would have had laughed so hard and called that person the greatest joker ever. But here she was, her husband sleeping peacefully on her laps while she gently romanced his face. Vanessa and Mike got married four years ago and had both decided not to have children for the first five years of their marriage so that they could have enough time to be together without being distracted by anything. Mike didn't want his wife waking up in the middle of the night just to rock their baby to sleep when they both should be cuddling.

They both didn't want anyone else to share their attention, that was how much they both loved each other. But three years into their marriage and things started falling apart. The ones happy and blissful marriage was turning into something else. Mike started getting irritated with the way Vanessa did things. He suddenly wasn't cool with anything she did and that was how the late nights started. And although he wasn't cheating on his wife, the late nights told Vanessa otherwise. So she made sure he got a piece of her mind everytime he got back late, then he went out again.

They both finally decided to give their marriage one last chance by seeing a marriage counselor but it didn't take long before they realized that it wasn't working anymore, the marriage was over and they both needed to stop pushing it. So they had both decided to get a divorce. But just before they could contacts their lawyers and start the process, the covid 19 pandemic struck the world and everyone was ordered to remain indoors wherever they were and that was how Vanessa and Mike got trapped together for six months.

The first three months had been quiet. Except for the good mornings and good night, no one said anything else to the other person. They had continued like that until one night when they got robbed. After the cops left, Vanessa was too terrified to sleep alone in her room and she had voiced her fear to Mike who volunteered to stay with her for that night. Mike had later stayed for that night and many other nights. They didn't need a soothsayer to tell them that they still loved each other.

By the end of the lock down, they both were professing their love to each other like high school kids. Vanessa smiled when she remembered what happened the first night Mike slept in her room after the robbery. “The robbery had been a blessing in disguise” she thought to herself and continued romancing her husband's face.
