Hi guys! How are you all? I hope you all are doing very well. Alhamdulillah, I’m also doing great. Today I’ve come with another delicious recipe for you all. Today I’m going to make cabbage fritters (Badhakopir Chop) at home. It’s a very tasty snack for the evening, and everyone — both kids and adults — loves it a lot. So come on, let me share everything with you step by step.

Ingredients:

1.Cabbage – 2 cups finely grated or shredded
2.Potato – 1 medium-sized, boiled and mashed (for binding)
3.Onion – 1 small, finely chopped
4.Green chilies – 1–2, finely chopped (optional)
5.Ginger-garlic paste – ½–1 teaspoon
6.Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons, chopped
7.Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
8.Red chili powder – ½–1 teaspoon
9.Garam masala – ½ teaspoon
10.Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon (optional)
11.Salt – to taste
12.Besan (gram flour) or bread crumbs – 3–4 13.tablespoons (for binding)
14.Oil – for shallow frying.

Making process:

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture
    Squeeze any excess water from the chopped cabbage.
    In a bowl, combine:
    cabbage
    mashed potato
    onion
    ginger-garlic paste
    spices (chili, turmeric, garam masala/coriander)
    salt
    coriander
    3–4 tbsp breadcrumbs
    Mix well. The mixture should hold shape.
    Add more breadcrumbs if too wet.
  2. Shape the cutlets
    Take small portions and form patties (round or oval).
  3. Coat
    Roll each cutlet in breadcrumbs for a crispy exterior.
  4. Cook
    Shallow Fry (recommended):
    Heat 2–3 tbsp oil in a pan on medium flame.
    Place cutlets and cook until golden brown on both sides.
    Pan Fry (low-oil option):
    Use a nonstick pan with minimal oil; cook until crisp.
    Deep Fry (optional):
    Fry in medium-hot oil until golden.
    Tips
    You can add ½ cup grated carrot or a little boiled corn for extra flavor.
    To make it vegan, ensure breadcrumbs have no dairy (usually they don’t).
    Serve with green chutney, ketchup, or add inside a burger bun!

Our delicious cabbage cutlets are completely ready. On winter days, it feels really wonderful to eat these hot cabbage cutlets.
