I was browsing through the site that I frequently use to download movies and I saw Jamie Fox in a movie picture. I began to like Jamie Fox since 2013 in White House down, and I do watch almost every movie he is featured.
Project power is another 2020 America science fic movie. The movie was released on August 14, 2020. It is about a pill called power and whenever it is used, it gives the user extraordinary power for 5 minutes. The movie started with an unknown man that travelled down to New Orleans to distribute the pill “Power” to some street drug dealer for free. The aim is for them to sell and pay after selling. Among these drug dealers are two guys, Newts, and his female teenage cousin, Robin.
After some weeks, Robin was on the street at night doing the dirty business, and she was attacked by her customer, but she was saved by an NOPD officer Frank Shaver, who also takes the pill to bring down the bad guys.
Jamie Fox here is called Art. He is one man trying to track down the maker of the pill because his daughter was kidnapped by the team of the power. And he got information about Newt and his connection to the supplier of power. He (Art) tracked him (Newt) down to his ghetto crib. The effect of the pill on Newt is fire. He becomes fire whenever he is on the pill. So, when Art got into the house, he had to use the pill to fight Art, and he took an overdose that blown him up. But Art could get him to talk and got the name of the supplier, as Biggie. Art picked up his phone and tracked down Newt's cousin, Robin.
He abducted Robin and forced her to take him down to the Biggie Safehouse, where Art finds out all people that are using Power are being monitored like a Lab rat. He eliminated all the guys there, and he sustained a gun injury. Robin saved her and Art shared her experience about a private defence company, Teleios and how they tried to make him a superhuman, and when he got her daughter, he knew she took from his power, which she was later abducted by Wallace, one of the Teleios guys.
Art and Robin found Biggie holding a presentation about project power, and Art found his way in and turn the place to a mess. Frank showed up here to arrest Art, but they later become buddy when he got to know that his Boss in the office his working with the bad guys and Art is the good guy looking for his daughter who they are using to make the power samples.
The last showdown was on a ship where they kept Art's daughter, Tracy. Art, Robin and Frank teamed up to get the ship down and safe Tracy. It is a place to watch because there were a lot of killings of the bad guys and Art also used the Pill.
I think this is another cool movie to watch if you like science fiction or superhero movies. I like it and it all ended well. This is a movie where none of the good guys dies. It may not look too original in reality to fight many powerful men without losing a kind soul, but that is what I saw in the movie.

I kind of enjoyed the movie, but it didn't blow my mind or anything. Plenty violence and fewer cringy scenes for me.
