With these two chosen keywords here is my entry.
This is my origami work of 3 umbrellas which I was quite lucky enough not to botch up. Origami is the Japanese art of paperfolding. The name is a combination of two words - "ori" which means to fold and "kami" meaning paper. This art has evolved considerably in the last decades that paper folding of anything is possible. And yes, that includes umbrellas.
My wife has an origami book but unfortunately it had no instructions on how to make umbrellas. So I searched the net and voila! Here are some close ups of these umbrellas. I might do another post on how I did this. Stay tuned.
