Thanks a lot, JJ, I was surprised about the timelapse. It was so easy to setup and I didn't need to do anything else - the video was finished in camera. The only thing I thought was that the single images would be saved too, just in case of a nice one, but there was only the movie on the card. I'll have to have a look in the manual, if it's possible to save the RAW files, but I don't think so.

that is cool that it means the same in both languages

I know on mine you can set it up to do either the video or images that you put into a time lapse later, i haven't tried the in camera video option yet

So I think when I want to take a timelapse video next time I'll have a look into the manual before ... or buy a second camera ;) lol

thats what my plans had been for this spring to take both of my cameras use th full frame for photos and do timelapses withmy smaller camera which does them well, but as of yet I haven't done any

I have never tried to make time lapses with my small camera - I don't even know if it is able to, but the idea is good, because I didn't even think of it.

I did the few timela[pses I did with my 6300 before i upgraded to full frame I haven't done one since but it is on my to do list

I have had a look and my small Canon G9x cannot take timelapses, but I think I will take one from time to time if the scenery and the weather are right.
Maybe I should change the small camera to one that can take timelapses. I'll have a look at the market for used cameras, but I want a small one again which I can put in a pocket if I can't take the big camera with me.
