Quacking along in this Querulous Quirky Q-Hunt arranged by the wickedly talented artist @barbara-orenya who I thought would be kind enough to skip this Q and move straight on to the R-hunt, but no, this week indeed was the #AlphabetHunt, the quaint letter Q.
Quaint my foot; it was more of a Quarrelsome letter which nearly broke my Queen of hearts, but thankfully that delicious Quiche came along at a Quarter to 7, saving the day!
My first Q is:
Quacking is the noisy guttural sound that a Duck makes especially when the Hen is calling her ducklings; this Quacking can sound quite intimidating!
Duck Trivia. ... A baby duck is called a duckling, and an adult male is a drake. An adult female duck is called a hen or a duck, and a group of ducks can be called a raft, team, or paddling.

The word Quack is someone with no training who pretends to be a medical doctor.
On the other hand, it's also common practice to call a trained doctor who continually gives the wrong medical advice and treatment a real Quack.
The second Q word I chose to share with you is:
I just love Quirky artwork which is different and appealing to look at.
We also have those very special people in our lives who are Quirky; wonderful individuals with a funny sense of humor as well as Quirky ideas.
They often are the creative artists like the talented artist who created the frame with broken porcelein cups and saucers that us normal people would have discarded into the garbage bin!
The third Q word is a favourite one of mine and it is:
This rather Quaint cottage is the home of my son; quite old-fashioned and full of charm.
These are real Quaint cottages in an idyllic setting in a museum in the Overberg, Western Cape.
One can also say someone has a Quaint sense of humor when their jokes are cleverly done.
My fourth chosen Q word would be quite miffed that I did not put her first, and she is the:
The Queen of course is a Royal head of state, but on the other hand someone who is called the Queen of hearts is a woman who is adored by the public.
We also get another type of Queen of Hearts and that of course belongs to a set of cards used in card games - Queen of Clubs, Queen of Hearts, Queen of Diamonds and the Queen of Spades.
Something we do not play often enough nowadays are card games, and there are many; Poker, Rummy, Blackjack, Solitaire/ Patience, Canasta, Gin Rummy, Baccarat and Bridge.
My fifth Q word is a delicious:
One of my favourites for a Saturday night light meal is a scrumptious Quiche, which is a short-crust pastry filled with a cheesy custard containing vegetables as well as smoked meats.
The sixth Q word has many meanings and it is:
Quarters is another interesting word that has multiple meanings.
This juicy Orange has been cut into Quarters, meaning into four equal segments.
This Q word can also mean living Quarters which is where someone is stationed temporarily and living in lodgings.
Quarter can also be used to describe the time - a Quarter to 7 or a Quarter past 7; which of course means 15 minutes before or after the hour, which is 60 minutes divided into 4 equal time periods, if you didn't know!
And so we come to the end of my Q-letter hunt which turned into a surprisingly fun hunt after all, so thank you @barbara-orenya for not skipping this difficult Q-word!

Hahaha that's a good one so I'm very glad I did add that one into the Q's, it actually was the first Q that came to mind so you know which direction my mind goes to most of the time;)
