Hello, awesome Hivers, alphabet hunters, and #feelgood community!
It is Thursday and the start of a new alphabet hunting week hosted @barbara-orenya. It is an absolutely fun challenge to do, and this time it is #alphabethunt Letter N.
Let us do this!
1️⃣ Nugget
A nugget is a small lump of gold or other precious metal without definite shape that is found ready-formed in the earth. These natural gold nuggets are true -one-of -a -kind - masterpieces from the earth's natural elements.
The other one thing that most commonly come in nugget form are fried chicken nuggets.
And I know that McDonald's fried chicken nuggets are popular world wide. I personally prefer to make my own chicken nuggets.
My favorite fried chicken nuggets are the ones I make from scratch using a Korean recipe, and it always comes out crispy and cruchy.

2️⃣ Nickel (coin)
A nickel is the slang name for a coin from America or Canada, equivalent to one twentieth of a dollar, or five cents.
A nickel is a five-cent coin struck by the United States Mint, composed of 75% copper and 25% nickel, the piece has been issued since 1866.
The Buffalo Nickel (left photo) is one of the most highly-regarded coin designs in American history.
The nickels in my stack that is in the photo below are special, not for their design, but because these are SILVER NICKELS. and are known as "War Nickels".World War II prompted the rationing of many commodities in the United States. Nickel was highly valued for use in armor plating, and Congress ordered the removal of this metal from the five-cent piece, effective October 8, 1942. From that date, and lasting through the end of 1945, five-cent pieces bore the regular design but were minted from an alloy of 35% silver, 56% copper, 9% manganese. It was anticipated that these emergency coins would be withdrawn from circulation after the war, so a prominent distinguishing feature was added. Coins from all three mints bore very large mintmarks above the dome of Monticello, and the letter 'P' was used as a mintmark for the first time on a U. S. coin.
3️⃣ Nib
A nib is the pointed end part of a pen, which distributes the ink on the writing surface to write or draw with.
According to Mathur et al., "the modern fountain pen nib may be traced back to the original gold nib which had a tiny fragment of ruby attached to form the wear-point." Following the discovery of the platinum group of metals which include ruthenium, osmium and iridium, "a small quantity of iridium was isolated and used on the iridium-tipped gold dip pen nibs of the 1830s". Today, nibs are usually made of stainless steel or gold alloys, with the most popular gold content being 14 carat (58⅓%) and 18 carat (75%).
4️⃣ Necklace
A necklace is a pretty piece of jewelry that is worn around the neck. Necklaces are usually made of chain, or a string threaded with beads. Sometimes a pretty pendant is hung from the necklace.
The necklace pendants that I show here are either 24K gold or 99.9% fine silver. [I refer to these as my "wearable" stack!]
5️⃣ Narrow
A gap between two things is narrow if the two things are quite close together and there is not a lot of room between them. The opposite of narrow is wide.
I took these photos last year while on my way to the Mercati di Rialto, Venice, Italy. The street and canal in these photos are narrow.
6️⃣ Nail varnish
Nail varnish, often called nail polish, is a kind of special paint that you put on your fingernails or toenails to make them look pretty. I like my nails painted most of the time. My favorite colors are in the shade of pink.

Gold nuggets would be nice to have! Seeing the fountain pen made me think of calligraphy. Have you ever tried it? A nicely done post, sis! Take care!💕🤗
I have not had lessons in calligraphy, but I had a private penmanship tutor when I was in middle school so that I can do cursive better. My penmanship still sucks, lol! But my tutor did roundhand, and it is very much like calligraphy. So beautiful! Do you do calligraphy? I do have several ink pens, and love using them for notes, cards, and special letters.

Hi @silversaver! I do some calligraphy; self taught. I too, have collected fountain type pens over the years. They ONLY thing I dislike about them is that if you don't use them every day, they seem to dry up and get clogged. The same thing used to happen to me with my ink pens.. they clog on me. So now, when I think that it will be a while in-between uses, I run the nib under warm running water before storing the pens, and they are now clog-free.
Saturday!!! I have couple of friends coming over to enjoy the pool with me, and I may have to miss today's discord Saturday chat. But if I remember, I will drop on to say hello!

Exactly... for centuries all cultures, kings, queens, the rich, the not so rich and, the not so poor, and even those with very little (as I am)... their first choice store of wealth is silver and gold... the wearable kind. There is nothing wrong with "fancy" and costume jewelry, but it sometimes makes me feel sad that many women spend their own or family's hard-earned fiat on those trinkets as opposed to "real" jewelry made from precious metals and gems, which are regarded as collectibles, keepsakes and true stores of value and wealth.

I think you will stay the only in this hunt to have nuggets....in gold ! Hahahaha ! when the other will come with the KFC, you have things in gold, silver..also nickel, a lot of metal, that is your unique hunt !

Lol😊😊😊 I think that all our #alphabethunts are unique as it expresses what it is that interests each one, and tells us what catches each individual eyes and imagination. The things I show are what are around me, especially these days of the pandemic. BTW, how is going there? It is pretty much the new norm here and elsewhere in the US... and I think it may take a year for things to go back to normal.

In France it's comme ci-comme ça ...if you don't watch the news too much like me (who watch zero news since about 15 years) you are living "almost" normally, except the fact we have to use the mask on shops and keep a physical distance (which doesn't bother me, in fact I think there should be a rule that nobody I don't know enters my comfort zone, I'm kinda agoraphobic..😁 ) this distance is globally not much respected, I would say and even not talking about the social distance..., but except that, life seems to me quite "normal" here 😄
I think that in my town anyway, the majority have adapted to the new norm. I, too, prefer some distancing, except for truly close friends. But I would want to think that I remain and maintain a warm, welcoming, friendly and pleasant disposition towards others. And for those who aren't like so towards me, then a stay away from them... as far as I can, 🤣hehehe😂 I have no need for toxic personalities in my life, LOL!

At the moment I would prefer the fried chicken Nuggets because I haven't had dinner yet, but in a few minutes the hunger will be gone and these gold Nuggets look like a nice dessert I'd like to have 😉

Hehehe.... I can only work with whatever is within my reach, my friend! It is interesting to realize that we are all surrounded by things, concepts and ideas with names and words A-Z that by the time we go through the alphabet, we would have a great idea and gasp the who , the what, and why we have characters and personalities... well, for me anyway, personally... because what I show are parts and parcels of me and my life. I should really just go for the generic stuff, hehe. Just kidding... I love to share!

Oh, you have the best letters!!! Actually, so many people do and I think these letters are the most wonderful posts! I love the buffalo nickels! My dad was given a slot machine that took nickels and we played on that thing just like Las Vegas gamblers on rainy days. LOL Nobody in my house gambles now or ever, but, it sure was fun!

Do you still have that slot machine? That would be such a cool thing to have, hehehe! And because it is yours it is NOT gambling. So my friend's husband's favorite pastime is going o the casino to play the slot machines. Last Christmas, my friend gifted him with a table top slot machine (from Amazon) that actually is a bank. It works like a slot machine lights and reels and all... her thought was instead of him putting money in the casino's slot machine, he could just play with that one, put in real coins and save all the money instead and still have the same fix. Did it work? I have to ask her, hehehe.

Hey, could I hitch a ride if you're driving through BC? Got a stir fry pay that doubles for a gold pan and a fully operational Garrett 300i Metal detector.
Hehehe... yeah! I shall pick you up on our way. Can't go to Alaska from California without going through Canada. The down-side is that I have to leave my guns at home because Canada will not honor my cc license unless I have it crated and shipped to Alaska using a commercial carrier, rather than driving them myself. Bummer!
Prospecting in Alaska is a dream of mine. I know a few prospectors that dig here in California during the winter and then dig up in Alaska all summer. Hopefully someday I'll get up there myself!
