I'm thinking of starting a Home-made Pasta Business

I love to cook. And, out of necessity, and practice, I daresay that I'm getting better at it :) Also, I love to eat and, not only am I something of a gourmand, but I value the aesthetics of food presentation.

Over the past years -- especially, during Covid lockdown -- my wife and I have perfected the art of the home-made pizza:

So, why not home-made pasta, next? As a small side hustle, to supplement our farm life in Colombia?

It's still early stages of this small business, but we've looked into freezer to store our pasta, pasta maker and are in the process of comparing/contrasting recipes. Mercifully, it sounds surprisingly simple.

You only need 4 ingredients to make delicious fresh pasta at home, and there’s a good chance you have all of them, already: 2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned & leveled, 3 large eggs, ½ teaspoon sea salt and ½ tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Good day. I always appreciate a good recipe I can try at home so I thank you for sharing. Unfortunately, portions of your writing do not appear to be original. Portions of your content appears to originate from one, or more, sources:

I have listed an example below. Are you the author or a contributor of any work these sites may have utilized? Now, I'm not sure about the Hunter article, but the Love and Lemons article adapted their work from Niki Achitoff-Gray's article in Serious Eats. I'm trying to be certain about the authenticity of content when it comes across my field of view.

Oh goodness, more downvotes, really? This post is not about the recipe, it's about my starting a business, and the pictures of the food are all mine! What's more, I specifically, say in my post that 'I am comparing and contrasting recipes'. What's going on here, @scholaris.pob? Is this really necessary?

Meantime, @scholaris.pob I look around Hive and I see basic, unimaginative posts raking in hundreds of dollars (moderators, included) on auto vote from their whale buddies. Surely, there are bigger fish to fry than picking on me because of a cover photo I used for a thousand word philosophy post, or a recipe which I say is not mine, in a post that is being appreciated for it's original food photography... Disheartening way to start the day, after yesterday's mocking insults from that other moderator...

Unfortunately, I can't speak for the other moderators. For me, I can only view and evaluate a fraction of the articles that get generated on Hive. I do agree with you though regarding highly rewarded content, but there's not much I can do about it aside from reporting. It's the stake people use. You're correct that there are definitely a lot more users out there to focus upon. Hive is a big place.

The trigger here was the statement on comparing and contrasting and observation of directly used material. It was the basis for my comment requesting added information. The content comparison I made with your content and other sources is meant to display my perspective in reading your work. The authenticity of your food images wasn't in question. I did find multiple sources for the last image of the pasta maker though.

I apologize, in advance, for the inconvenience. I can only recommend that next time to please utilize the source links or include your writing in direct quotations to indicate where the information originated.

After being downvoted two days in a row for minor infractions, I saw a post doing quite well : large self-vote and payout from big players. What caught my attention was that this person's post was full of images, all of which were without attribution.

So I, politely, mentioned to him if he ever experienced any difficulty from moderators/curators, and this was his response:

I never give credit to intellectual property.
I don't believe in it.
Crypto will destroy this entire concept.

No one's ever bothered me about it.
I didn't even realize this was a thing.

Again, @scholaris.pob, I'm not ratting anyone out, but just wanted to point out what was common practice, especially among big fish, and because I felt hurt to be spoken to rudely by Taiwan character, and then downvoted twice by you and her.

Yes, yes, yes, I'll pay more attention so as not to be further downvoted on my already small earnings. Meantime, just came back from reading a high profile post, full of unattributed images and making big money. I hope moderators and curators, when they are not making questionably large earnings, will focus on serious injustices/violations on this platform, instead of minor infractions... Have a good day.

OooOo wow, looks phenomenal!

You’re a kind-hearted soul, Jeff; thanks, for your encouragement, brother 🥰

Your photos look so delicious :)

Definitely jump in. You'll have lots of fun and earn some too.

@tipu curate

See the comment showing this recipe is not his even if the photos are. That is dishonest.

Thank you, @ervin-lemark, for your warm encouragement :)

I wish you satisfaction and success in your projects and will keep #Hive posted of any developments :)

Have a lovely day!

Looking at it I would say go for it I would love to eat some of your food should I make enough to travel. Thank you for the recipe though, I will be sure to try it.

Thank you, for the encouragement! Will be posting more developments, down the line 🤗

Hope recipe works out well for you 👌🏼

Yay! 🤗

I've since deleted the material in question and believe I've resolved this matter both with @scholaris.pob as well as @acidyo. I do hope that we can move on from this. Thank you.

Hello.

This is a second time that you are caught with plagiarism:

The rewards on your posts have been equalized as a reprimand.
The next time the account will be blacklisted.

Namaste

@acidyo @scholaris.pob

I checked the first time you refer to (10 months ago), @hivewatchers and it clear that it was a misunderstanding, as I stated: "Maimouna Guerresi, whose art is featured in this post..."

I see that you've not took away my rewards for this recent post, where I the recipe is not integral to the post, I mention it is not mine, and have since deleted after my talk with @acidyo. Yet, you have taken away my earnings for all of my posts over the last 5 days... 15 posts, in total. Why is that, @Guiltyparties ?

No, you didn't. You edited the post after the photography plagiarism was found (after we commented). Please stop telling false information.:

Yes, I included the artist's link after you pointed it out to me but, as you see, her name was always there, and the entire post is about sharing her art and quotes.

If my intention was to pass off her art as my own, why would I open the post by introducing her full name, and follow it up with a quote by the artist, @hivewatcher?

There's no reason to be upset or think the worst. I'm making an appeal to say that your response to my recent post was excessive. I work hard to create the posts I do, and my intention is not to deceive anyone. Please, reconsider returning my earning for the last 15 posts of mine that you equalized.

Thank you.

Post rewards aren't yours till post payout. You haven't lost anything. Try understanding that and you will feel better.
