I was excited about this week’s WWE Raw and couldn’t wait to give my opinions. The Judgment Day team had the main spotlight, with so much going on that would keep people glued to their screens. Seeing them fight each other provided a thrill for me such that I became more interested in it every second.
As usual, Drew McIntyre started the show with some brash talk addressed to Damian Priest challenging his capacity. Drew is always confident but this time around; it led to a high-stakes match between him and Finn Balor. In case Drew won, they had decided on a stipulation that added even more excitement: Judgment Day would be banned from ringside at Clash at the Castle. But for Finn winning could allow them to support Damian during his championship defense.
It was so exciting to watch Finn and Drew go at it with each other. Drew’s victory was not just a win for him but a huge blow to Judgment Day. It showed that he could do what he said and left Damian in a tough spot. Now, Damian has to defend his title without the safety net of his teammates. This development added more depth to Damian’s character. Can he rise to the task or will he crumble under pressure? It is this question that will make fans anticipate the next big match.
However, it wasn’t just about the action inside the ring that attracted my attention. Liv Morgan’s bold move on Dominik Mysterio added a personal drama twist to the show which was unexpected for me. It came as a surprise when Liv gave Dom her hotel key as if they were already lovers, and it enriched the story some more. This move could shake things up in so many ways. Combining Zelina Vega’s interference and Liv’s unexpected appearance during Dom’s tag match created chaos and kept people guessing.
The possible romantic relationship between Liv and Dom creates interest for viewers who want to see what happens next with them. This subplot mixes comedy with soap opera-like drama thereby making it much more thrilling than before.
Another thing that makes Judgment Day is the internal fighting. Damian’s decision to place Finn in a difficult situation without seeking his colleagues’ opinions showed a division among them. Moreover, Finn’s defeat also increased the friction among the group members. Their storyline becomes even more interesting due to this tension. The way they show unity while dealing with inner conflicts is amazing. It is obvious that at every point in time, each character can behave in ways that could either strengthen or break the group.
This episode of Raw was B+. What made it a captivating show however was its mixture of action, personal drama, and character development.
As a fan, I appreciate how WWE keeps making its storylines dynamic. Every segment led into the next with ease and connectedness, making the show an exciting flow of events. I want to see where these stories take us in the next few weeks, especially with so much tension added within Judgment Day and the possible love triangle between Liv and Dom.
