¡Christmas 2021! ...taking a quick glimpse to the "cyclical" future. (Chapter II)

...excerpt of the first chapter of this story.

An unorthodox projection and not so common perspective for many of you, who being still too young, you prolly didn't have the opportunity to live, experience and witness in all its splendor those crucial events of radical, social, political, economic, religious, technological and spiritual changes whose main origin, undoubtedly ocurred seven decades, two centuries and two millennia ago and where music played one of the most important roles in those transcendental transformations.

Howdy folks! I'm glad to see you here. You are welcome to the second installment of this insightful story which try to lead you to watch the nuances of one possible and potential "cyclical" future seen through the eyes and perspective of an old former hippy. I hope and aspire that you have bothered to click on the first colored paragraph with which I start this post to familiarize yourself a little better with what you are going to read and see today. And maybe, also even earn a couple of dollars if you decide to participate in the simple contest that I am carrying out there. :)

Today, I'm planning to take you deeper through the rabbit hole to explore and ponder a whole new universe of possibilities that are presented to all of us today like a formidable waterspout in the face of the new winds of change.

Today I will try to show you the importance of living in a #community with common objectives and goals. Such as we have them here and we have tried to create them here everyday in the digital world of the blockchain. In the Cryptoverse, the Metaverse and Virtual Reality of the next potentially more digital future.

Back in my days, we obviously didn't have all this existing technology at our disposal like you all certainly have it today at the reach of your dreamer's fingerprints.

But even so, we indeed had and disposed of something powerful enough to come together and agglutinate all of us in the visionary mission and ambitious effort of achieving a stable and lasting common good for all of us, the whole humanity in general and all the new generations yet to come. We had ¡The Music! as the engine and the main fuel for change.

“One giant leap for mankind” - ¡The 1967 Summer of Love!

Yeah, at that time and with our scarce technological resources at hand, today it might be seen that our approach to the much-needed change that the world needed and still needs could have been somewhat clumsy and reckless.

But as the pioneers and first exponents of the counterculture to overthrow the current system, we had to try something radical to achieve the goals with whatever we had at hand. And since nobody is born learned. Well, there always has to be a first time for everything. Though, what no one can deny is that at least we tried.

We tried and a large part of the positive changes we achieved are precisely these that allow you now to enjoy reading this article safe from home thanks to the mild fruits reaped through that initial, legendary and clumsy battle that we old hippies did during the sixties. But hey! the fight goes on and no one can give up. };)

Alright! I realize that for today I have probably already provided you with enough material to ponder. And today, on Christmas Day, I consider it prudent I do not become too long and tedious with what I still have to tell you.

So, for now, I have only left to invite you for the third chapter and installment of this captivating story in the next few days. And with nothing more to add at the moment. I just hope you enjoy a very good Christmas Eve tonight. ¡Salud! :)

Yet another addition to our blockchain with a deep meaning that shall entice us (the reader) to think. Love the Peter Coyote explanation of the 'one' culture. I do believe indeed that when we like to chance the world, we have to do this from the inside, rather than to create something from the outside. The only way to chance the behaviour, the ideas of the mass is to 'work' from the inside, ie within the culture we are all part of. I do hope we are able to change the world. I do know it'll take time, but I also realise we are left with less and less time due to the ever faster evolving of technology that will chance many of the fundamentals in our current culture. To prevent everything to fall into chaos, we shall adapt before it is too late. That said, I also believe in topping points, the black swan effect. That's where my hope is, that we humans will be able to change quickly when we really need to. Maybe recent year or two showed us people can adapt quickly when needed, or demanded. Covid tells us we can change our daily behaviours very very quickly. For instance my employer. Before Covid, the idea of working remotely was not in the DNA of this company with about 13k employees. Whenever a meeting was planed in some office in my country, they never ever provided a conference bridge, they wanted me to travel to that office, even if the meeting was a simple meeting of lets say 1 hour that could've been easily done over the phone. Within a few months after our first lockdown, the directors of the company started making plans to allow peeps to work from home, not only in covid times, but also after the covid period. Suddenly Microsoft Teams became the prime channel of communication. The idea of having to sit together in the physical space was replaced by the virtual space. And you know what? The majority of my colleagues are happier to work in this way (based on the monthly poles ran by HR).

Though at times I'm pessimistic about the will of the mass to see whats coming to us in the next few decades, I'm hopeful we are gonna see a black swan or two that will change our societies to be able to deal with whatever we have to deal with. The road maybe a little bumpy though.
