A battle is a great struggle in which there is a winner and a loser. In the spiritual life there is a constant battle between the forces of evil and the forces of good. The apostle Paul advises that the good fight must be fought on the field of faith, whereby both doubt and the forces of evil must be defeated.

(1 Timoteo 6:12)

Fight the good fight of faith; make eternal life your own, to which you were called and for which you made that wonderful declaration of faith in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12).

Faith has to do with the spiritual and is a battle in which the most important reward is the eternal life of the believer. The battle is fought in believing or not believing what God says in his word. In this sense, by giving place to doubt, we are saying that God is telling a lie, but if we give place to faith by believing firmly what God says in his word, the reward of victory will be eternal life.

When Christ is confessed as personal Savior, it is done in an act of faith and it is done in the presence of many witnesses, which allows the cloud of witnesses to progressively observe the spiritual and personal changes that the new believer is achieving in his life. The same cloud of witnesses will indicate if the life that the believer leads is false or true. To confess Jesus is to believe that he is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. Confession is an act of faith through which the Spirit of God descends upon the person to make the relevant changes and help the believer in the understanding of biblical truths.

The main battle of faith that every Christian faces is centered on believing God's promises. The enemy will take charge of stealing that faith so that the Christian loses his trust in God and is left like a ship adrift and then destroys his spiritual life and soul. Meanwhile, the Holy Spirit is in charge of guiding and directing the Christian in the righteousness and truth of God, so that his faith becomes firm by believing in the great and wonderful promises of God, especially eternal life.
