For a few days, the important news has been known that a giant of payment transactions, I mean PayPal, will enter the world of cryptocurrencies from next January and this has caused a huge impact on this still small ecosystem of digital currencies.

Paypal has about 340 million users around the world who, according to the words of its managers, will be in a position to buy and sell cryptocurrencies from the first days of next year. The impact of this new alternative is still unknown, although there are already very optimistic estimates. Paypal's payment system and other financial services will be able to attract a large number of new cryptocurrency buyers, mainly in more developed countries where the participation of common people in the market is not massively adopted, according to specialists only 10% of the People in the United States own cryptocurrencies and something similar happens for example in Japan. It is expected that this new actor can give a great boost to the massive entry of people to the digital market.

However, several aspects of the operation and costs remain to be elucidated. To begin with, only a few currencies will be available in the Paypal portfolio: BTC of course, ETH and BCH. Regarding the operation and costs, not much is known either. Certainly, in the coming days, more details will appear.

The big question that arises is whether this will give a new boost to the value of our digital assets and of course to the various reward platforms, it is assumed and expected that although of course, no one has the crystal ball and we can only speculate.

What is certain is that with this new giant in action, a huge number of potential users will be able to enter, acquire, pay and / or sell digital currencies, something that until now is forbidden for the vast majority of people.

The expectations are great.

One thing you missed my friend. When you buy BTC on PayPal, you cannot save it or spend it outside of the PayPal system. So the coins you have in PayPal are not really BTC. They are more like a paper futures contract.

Please don't be scammed

~not your keys - not your crypto~

If that's a great little detail but I read that that would be changed for launch, I'm going to look up the article. Hopefully that is the case because otherwise, it is not of much use.
Thanks for the clarification!
