After almost two weeks of vacation, here I am, again sitting in front of my computer keyboard ready to return to my activities, of course, I leave some time within them to write on this platform again.
I have many things to tell, beautiful and not so much, I will also talk about them but for now, I will limit myself to talking about the beauty and beauty of our trip and the wonderful landscapes and the charming friends that we visited and gave us extreme kindness and hospitality.
We began our adventure on Saturday, January 30, quite early but not as much as I would have liked, we had decided to go in our vehicle to Esquel and it is almost 2,000 kilometers so I planned the route in two sections, the first to the city of Neuquén, capital of the province of the same name. It was 1,200 kilometers and leaving very early helps the trip, on the one hand, we avoid part of the summer heat and on the other hand, we arrive at our destination earlier so we can rest better to do a shorter but more difficult section the next day because At that height there are mountain roads that force us to go more slowly, sometimes behind slow loaded trucks that delay us until we can overtake them.
Despite the fact that it rained almost the entire journey, we arrived during the day and with enough time to stay at the hotel, take a refreshing shower and go out to dinner, then return to the room and sleep enough to face that last effort with peace of mind. It was 13 hours of travel with several stops to refuel, go to the bathroom and stretch the legs.
The next day there was also intermittent rain almost until we arrived in Esquel, there the weather changed completely and we had a spectacular week with very high temperatures, without clouds or wind, almost like sunset for us so that our rest was complete. A great welcome from our friends, they lent us a small two-room apartment with a kitchen and bathroom so that we could be more comfortable, then it was time to catch up with the conversations that were overdue for more than a year due to confinement due to the covid pandemic.
Speaking of the pandemic, we had to take out travel insurance with coverage in case we caught COVID, we had to install an application that indicates all the travel data including accommodation and contact numbers. Protective measures are also noted at fuel service stations and in some places they even asked us to record our data in a book in case a case was detected and that way we could be tracked to notify us.
As I said before, they were splendid days of sun and heat, perhaps a bit excessive but he was able to fully enjoy the beautiful landscapes, the clear waters of the lakes and rivers, and the views of the high mountains, some still with traces of snow that did not melt.
In the next one, I will tell you about some of the excursions and walks we do, for now, I will only leave you photos of the outward journey.
One last thing, I thank my friends from Hive who worried about my absence, I regret not having warned before that I would take a vacation from work and also from the platform.
Luego de casi dos semanas de vacaciones, aquí estoy, nuevamente sentado frente al teclado de mi computadora dispuesto a retornar a mis actividades, por supuesto que dentro de ellas dejo un tiempo para volver a escribir en esta plataforma.
Tengo muchas cosas para contar, lindas y no tanto, ya hablaré también de ellas pero por ahora me limitaré a hablar de lo lindo y bello de nuestro viaje y de los maravillosos paisajes y los encantadores amigos que visitamos y nos brindaron una extrema amabilidad y hospitalidad.
Comenzamos nuestra aventura el sábado 30 de enero, bastante temprano pero no tanto como hubiera querido, habíamos decidido ir en nuestro vehículo hasta Esquel y son casi 2.000 kilómetros por lo que planifiqué el recorrido en dos tramos, el primero hasta la ciudad de Neuquén, capital de la provincia del mismo nombre. Eran 1.200 kilómetros y salir bien temprano ayuda al viaje, por un lado evitamos parte del calor del verano y por otro se llega a destino más temprano con lo cual se puede descansar mejor para hacer al día siguiente un tramo más corto pero más dificultoso porque a esa altura hay caminos de montaña que obligan a ir más despacio, en ocasiones detrás de lentos camiones cargados que nos demoran hasta poder adelantarlos.
Peso a que llovió casi todo el trayecto llegamos de día y con el suficiente tiempo como para alojarnos en el hotel, darnos una reparadora ducha y salir a cenar para luego volver a la habitación y dormir lo suficiente como para encarar ese último esfuerzo con tranquilidad. Fueron 13 horas de viaje con varias paradas para repostar combustible, ir al baño y estirar las piernas.
El día siguiente fue también de lluvia intermitente casi hasta la llegada a Esquel, allí el tiempo cambió totalmente y tuvimos una semana espectacular con temperaturas muy elevadas, sin nubes ni viento, casi como puesta para nosotros para que nuestro descanso fuera completo. Un gran recibimiento de nuestros amigos, nos prestaron un pequeño departamento de dos ambientes con cocina y baño para que estuviéramos más cómodos, luego llegó la hora de ponernos al día con las conversaciones atrasadas de más de un año debido al confinamiento por la pandemia de covid.
Hablando de la pandemia, tuvimos que contratar un seguro de viaje con cobertura por si nos contagiábamos de covid, tuvimos que instalar una aplicación que indica todos los datos del viaje incluido el alojamiento y teléfonos de contactos. También en las estaciones de servicios de combustible se notan las medidas de protección y en algunos lugares hasta nos solicitaron registrar nuestros datos en un libro por si se detectaba algún caso y de esa manera nos poder rastrearnos para avisarnos.
Como dije antes fueron unos días espléndidos de sol y calor, quizás un tanto excesivo pero su pudo disfrutar a pleno de los bellos paisajes, de las aguas claras de los lagos y ríos y de las vistas de las altas montañas, algunas todavía con rastros de nieve que no llegaron a derretirse.
En la próxima contaré sobre algunas de las excursiones y paseos que realizamos, por ahora solo les dejo fotos del viaje de ida.
Una última cosa, agradezco a mis amigos de Hive que se preocuparon por mi ausencia, lamento no haber avisado antes que mi tomaría vacaciones del trabajo y también de la plataforma.
