My country has lost its economic direction for many years, the immediate always beats planning, investment, and development.
Towards the end of January, I undertook a trip of almost 5,000 kilometers in my car, with my wife we decided to travel that way due to various factors that are not relevant. We really enjoy traveling, getting to know new towns, new landscapes and interacting with the inhabitants of these remote places.
90% of the roads and routes we take to get to Esquel are in poor condition, some of them almost impassable for normal people, of course, we live here and although I don't like to mention this word, we are used to dealing with bad situations which has good aspects and others not so much. The good news is that we are prepared for the unforeseen and we can get out of difficult situations with a certain naturalness and speed, the bad thing is precisely the same since we can fix ourselves in difficult situations, we do not demand from the authorities with the vehemence that problems are required to be solved. A soft, meek person with little memory is the best breeding ground for inoperative leadership. Then the decadence wins everything.
There are several problems with roads in poor condition: deformed asphalt, lack of shoulders or poor maintenance of the same, poor or null demarcation of curves, shoulders, and crossing areas, of course, that is essential on roads with only two hands, one In each sense, let's forget about highways or routes with more lanes, that only happen in the Federal Capital and some entry and exit roads to it, in the capitals of a few provinces you can also find some multiple routes, but they are the less.
Arriving at the artificial lake formed by the Collón Curá river reservoir, there has been a bridge that crosses it for many years, allowing you to circulate along the route that goes from Neuquén to Bariloche, in the same place there is a small distributor that allows you to choose the route to other centers Also of international level, this route is known as that of the Seven Lakes and allows tourists to reach Junín de Los Andes, San Martín de Los Andes and Villa La Angostura.
That dealer was undergoing repairs and the queues for vehicles were immense; While we waited patiently for the instructions to be able to advance towards our destination, I started to think about what would happen if the bridge had a problem and it had to be closed, reaching Bariloche would require at least 400 extra kilometers. It is absolutely incredible that there is only one direct route, which on the other hand is quite deteriorated, and also a single bridge to cross that lake. Unpredictability or lack of investment at its best.
The route that leads to Los Alerces National Park was built less than 10 years ago, it already has parted with potholes, even in some sectors the pavement has disappeared and has been replaced by the old gravel, a mixture of earth and stones from the area.
Elsewhere, on the road that leads to Gualjaina, there is another asphalt route, this one in very good condition, well marked and painted so that it can be traveled safely at night, the problem is that it does not lead anywhere, After the detour to that town, the route continues for several kilometers, as I said before in perfect condition. However, it ends abruptly at the base of a small hill, there is no nearby town, it does not lead anywhere.
Arriving in Esquel, the route has been under repair for years, some sections completed not long ago already show signs of deterioration, holes in the asphalt, or directly the absence of it in small sections, that only shows one thing: the materials they use and the way they build is wrong, I can't conceive that they don't know how to do it, therefore there is only one possible answer left: laziness and corruption.
Hace muchos años que mi país ha perdido el rumbo económico, lo inmediato siempre le gana a la planificación, a la inversión y al desarrollo.
Hacia fines de enero emprendí un viaje de casi 5.000 kilómetros en mi automóvil, con mi esposa decidimos viajar de esa manera por diversos factores que no vienen al caso. Disfrutamos mucho de viajar, de conocer nuevos pueblos, nuevos paisajes y de interactuar con los habitantes de esos remotos lugares.
El 90 % de los caminos y rutas que tomamos para llegar hasta Esquel están en malas condiciones, algunos casi intransitables para el normal de la gente, claro que nosotros vivimos aquí y aunque no me guste mencionar esta palabra, estamos acostumbrados a desenvolvernos en situaciones malas lo cual tiene aspectos buenos y otros no tanto. Los buenos es que estamos preparados para los imprevistos y podemos salir de situaciones difíciles con cierta naturalidad y rapidez, lo malo es precisamente lo mismo, al poder arreglarnos en situaciones difíciles no exigimos a las autoridades con la vehemencia que se requiere que los problemas se solucionen. Un pueblo blando, manso y con poca memoria es el mejor caldo de cultivo para las dirigencias inoperantes. Entonces la decadencia va ganando todo.
Los problemas de las rutas en mal estado son varios: asfalto deformado, falta de banquinas o mal mantenimiento de las mismas, deficiente o nula demarcación de curvas, banquinas y áreas de paso, por supuesto eso es imprescindible en caminos de solo dos manos, una en cada sentido, olvidémonos de autopistas o rutas con mayor cantidad de carriles, eso solo ocurren el la Capital Federal y algunos caminos de entrada y salida a esta, en las capitales de alguna pocas provincias también se pueden encontrar algunas vías múltiples, pero son las menos.
Llegando al lago artificial formado por el embalse del río Collón Curá existe desde hace muchos años un puente que lo cruza permitiendo circular por la ruta que va desde Neuquén hacia Bariloche, en el mismo lugar hay un pequeño distribuidor que posibilita elegir la ruta hacia otros centros turísticos, también de nivel internacional, esa ruta es conocida como la de los Siete lagos y permite al turista llegar a Junín de los Andes, San Martín de los Andes y Villa La Angostura.
Ese distribuidor estaba en reparaciones y las colas de vehículos era inmensa; mientras esperábamos pacientemente las instrucciones para poder avanzar hacia nuestro destino me puse a pensar en qué pasaría si el puente tuviera un inconveniente y hubiera que cerrarlo, llegar a Bariloche demandaría hacer al menos 400 kilómetros de más. Es absolutamente increíble que solo haya una ruta directa, que por otra parte está bastante deteriorada, y además un único puente para atravesar ese lago. Imprevisión o falta de inversión en su máxima expresión.
La ruta que lleva al parque nacional Los Alerces fue construida hace menos de 10 años, ya tiene partes con baches, incluso en algunos sectores ha desaparecido el pavimento y ha sido reemplazado por el antiguo ripio, mezcla de tierra y piedras de la zona.
En otra parte, en el camino que lleva a Gualjaina hay otra ruta de asfalto, esta si en muy buen estado, bien demarcada y pintada para que por la noche se la transite con seguridad, el problema está en que no lleva a ninguna parte, luego del desvío hacia esa localidad la ruta sigue por varios kilómetros, como dije antes en perfecto estado. Sin embargo termina abruptamente en la base de un pequeño cerro, no hay ninguna población cercana, no lleva a ningún lugar.
Llegando a Esquel está la ruta en reparación desde hace años, algunos tramos terminados no hace mucho tiempo ya muestran signos de deterioro, agujeros en el asfalto o directamente la ausencia de este en pequeños tramos, eso solo demuestra una cosa: los materiales que utilizan y la forma en que construyen es errónea, no puedo concebir que no se sepa hacer por lo tanto solo queda una respuesta posible: desidia y corrupción.
