I find it pretty weird how much Steem is being valuated while they have less than 100 witnesses and half the Top100 happen to be disabled. It's most likely to be something artificially maintained.
I think it's perfectly normal, most of the coins are based on speculation/market...
If STEEM was at $10 I might think it's strange, but the price doesn't necessarily follow the decentralization. It might be artificially maintained, but it's not certain yet.
