It would appear that Nvidia is moving towards closing what could be the most significant deal ever made in mobile computing with aquisition of ARM. ARM is a leader mobile chip designs.

That is some major news. I mean for God's sake they might even take the throne from Intel if all things go well and Intel didn't react well enough!

While I would agree that is a significant move for Nvidia, the potential threat to Intel is further into the future. The primary reason is that both companies rely on different architectures, CISC in the case of Intel and RISC in the case of ARM. Although ARM based processors dominate mobile and embedded computing, Intel still rules the roost where the desktop and server markets are concerned.

ARM'S forreys into the server space is still in relatively early days and Intel is not likely to concede its bread and butter markets without putting up a colossal fight.

I see a lot of future potential in ARM. This is what really got my eye:
