Based. I used to not think this but the fed has clearly demonstrated that they do not act in the interest of the common man. My only caveat would be that we ensure that sufficient military defense capability is present to keep our rivals at bay.
Let's not pretend the CCP wouldn't seize any opportunity we give them. Failure to do so would be similar to falling out of the frying pan (current oppressive regime) and into the fire (more oppressive regime). If we could modernize state militias to be formidable in today's warfare, I think that would be a good step in the right direction.
In the event of crisis, we should probably have a mechanism for central C&C which may be needed when timely decision-making is needed but would be prudent to make sure those powers are limited for when needed and tested.
In any case, think the overarching goal would be the decentralization of authority so that policy-making would more closely represent the will of the people and their needs peculiar to their locale. Thanks for the thought provoking comment. ✌️
