Last weekend I did two challenging hikes and today to start, I'll take you with me on a nice excursion on the Beretta hill, on Monte Grappa.

Lo scorso weekend ho fatto due escursioni impegnative e oggi per iniziare, vi porto con me in una bella ecursione sul colle della Beretta, sul Monte Grappa.
I was exhausted from the day before but still decided to join a group sunset excursion of about 10 kilometers.

Ero esausto dal giorno prima ma ho deciso comunque di partecipare a un'escursione di gruppo al tramonto di circa 10 chilometri.
After a short briefing, we left!
I didn't think there would be that many, we were about 35 people.

Dopo un breve briefing, siamo partiti!
Non pensavo saremmo stati così tanti, eravamo circa 35 persone.
With the excuse that I wanted to take pictures, I stayed in the queue of the group and thus was also safer from the point of view of security from Covid.

The colors of the landscape were already fantastic and I started shooting right away.

In the meadows there were many pink crocuses in bloom.

Nei prati c'erano moltissimi crochi rosa in fiore.
After half an hour of walking on an asphalted road we went up a path in the vegetation.

Dopo mezzora di cammino su strada asfaltata abbiamo risalito un sentiero nella vegetazione.
Then the route was all uphill, the top of the Col della Beretta is at 1500 meters above sea level.

Poi il percorso era tutto in salita, la cima del Col della Beretta è a 1500 metri di altitudine.
Along the path we found some mushrooms, this is called Macrolepiota procera, in Italian we call it "drumstick".

Lungo il sentiero abbiamo acneh trovato dei funghi, questo si chiama Macrolepiota procera, in italiano lo chiamiamo "mazza di tamburo".
The temperature was optimal, it was really good, I didn't struggle much.
I just felt a little tired from the day before which was a long hike.

La temperatura era ottimale, si stava veramente bene, non ho faticato molto.
Sentivo solo un po' la stanchezza del giorno prima che è stata un'escursione lunga.
Sometimes the guide took breaks to explain where the battalions were positioned during the First World War.

Qualche volta la guida faceva delle pause per spiegarci dove erano posizionati i battaglioni durante la prima guerra mondiale.
The more minutes passed, the better the light...

Più passavano i minuti e migliore era la luce...
We even saw some horses grazing!
ITA
Abbiamo anche visto dei cavalli al pascolo!
The shades of green, the shadows, the lights...what a beautiful landscape!

Le sfumature di verde, le ombre, le luci...che bel paesaggio!
We had almost reached the top, the sun was setting and everything was magical.
ITA
Eravamo quasi giunti alla cima, il sole stava tramontando e tutto era magico.
Luckily there was a cow near a pool of water, so I tried a shot against the light...
Fortuna vuole che vicino ad una pozza d'acqua ci fosse una mucca, così ho provato uno scatto in controluce...
It was a really nice atmosphere...I think the cow was watching the sunset too!

Nature never disappoints.

On the crest of the hill there was a net with barbed wire and from there we contemplated the landscape at 360 degrees kissed by the last light of the sun.

Sulla cresta del colle c'era una rete con il filo spinato e da li abbiamo contemplatoil paesaggio a 360 gradi baciato dalle ultime luci del sole.
Then I noticed that sky, devoid of clouds except for a very strange cloud that reminded me of a mushroom cloud...incredible. I've never seen anything like it!

Poi mi sono accorto di quel cielo, privo di nuvole eccetto per una nuvola stranissima che mi ricordava un fungo atomico...incredibile. Non ho mai visto niente di simile!
Then, as we did not reach the next peak, we decided to climb further and set out towards Mount Asolone.

Poi, siccome poco per la cima successiva abbiamo deciso di salire ulteriormente e ci siamo incamminati verso il monte Asolone.
After 15 minutes we were on the top, a wonderful view!
ITA
Dopo 15 minuti eravamo sulla cima, un panorama stupendo!
There was a memorial cross there for the soldiers who fell during the First World War.
A place that makes you think...

Lì c'era una croce commemorativa per i soldati caduti durante la prima guerra mondiale.
Un luogo che fa riflettere...
There were a few minutes left and it would have become dark, I must say that the blue hour is magical, especially in such beautiful places.

Mancavano pochi minuti e sarebbe diventato buio, devo dire che l'ora blu è magica, soprattuto in luoghi così belli.
By now it was dark and I had forgotten the flashlight at home, luckily the others made a lot of light and they helped me to make a final shot too!

Ormai era buio e io mi ero dimenticato la torcia a casa, per fortuna gli altri facevano molta luce e mi hanno aiutato a realizzare anche uno scatto finale!
