I have been to Missouri many times during my college days, as Kansas City Missouri was the real Kansas City as opposed to the Kansas City, Kansas which was basically a tiny town :)
The Pont Express! How cool is that, and those trains. My father who grew up getting trains to school was a train nut, and when we lived in Florida we had to find him trains to hear that whistle lol!
Is Dylan from Missouri? I was never really a fan but am sure recognise more of his songs than I can name off the top of the head. Like you, none of these seem familiar, to me anyway.
It's Bob Dylan day in Misssora! Nicely done, Missouri does have a lot of songs that mention it but most being country. I've only been there a couple times myself, but it sure is pretty. You're getting close to Nebraska now, I have a feeling you're going country again! lol
Such an interesting travel story! I love how you chose to stop there because of its historical connection to the Pony Express—it makes the journey feel much more meaningful. Connecting Missouri with Bob Dylan’s songs was also really unique and fun to read. Looking forward to your Montana post next 😊

Missouri? More like Missouri River in Dylan’s ‘Shenandoah’,classic how obscure state nicknames still slip into folk anthems. You’d think someone’d copyright that by now.

Haha yeah, I hear you there! It's funny how that works with that town.

I don't think he was. I honestly don't know for sure. If I had to guess I think it's actually Minnesota. Google seems to affirm that!
Good old google! Minnesota it is then!

Yeah Nebraska might be a bit hard. I really don't know what I am going to do with Montana. I feel like that one might be even harder.
You're going country on Montana, I think John Denver even had one with Montana in it!
