The Best of Discovery-it #318
Hi there, welcome back to The Best of Discovery-it! All the best posts voted by the Discovery-it curator team will have their own dedicated space within the Hive blockchain. This digest intends to bring to light all those authors who often remain unnoticed and therefore reward all those who create quality posts, leading them to establish themselves on the platform. But that's not all!
After a careful selection, our curators will also choose the most deserving articles among all those voted to create a ranking of the Top posts of the day.
So who are today's winners?
Ancient Structures - Art tokenized on NFT Showroom
by @julesquirin
Today’s artwork is part of julesquirin’s collection called “Myths & Legends”. The artist shares with us all the creative progress: “I made a bunch of blocks and manipulated them around with the new extrude tool of Blender 2.9 to create interesting shapes, added a bunch of modifiers to it, and created a displacement map for all the columns and the building behind. Then I decided to add rocks on the ground, bricks, debris, all of that, and create a sand texture with displacement for the ground…” the author said. by @zilustras
Today zilustras shares with us a beautiful sketch of a girl. “Although I think it's an interesting drawing I have failed to capture the tilt of the model's head when you compare to the original photograph. It's a very natural instinct trying to "correct" the facial futures and put everything aligned and centered instead of following the angles we're actually seeing” the artist told us.
The lovely Relation Between Sky and Water
by @chayan55
In this beautiful post you can find a drawing by chayan55. “One of my favorite colors is aquamarine. It always pulls me. Whether it's the blue sky in the afternoon or the blue sky on a raft of white clouds in the afternoon or the blue sky next to the sun rising in the eastern sky, I like all of them very much. As soon as I came in the middle of it, I thought of doing something” the artist said. In the post you can find the original reference photo and all the steps of the creative process, from the pencil sketch to the application of the colors and details.
Photographic Restoration / Restauración Fotográfica
by @datavix
The “inpainting” is a process of improving the quality of an image and, in this post, datavix has used this term to present a photograph that was a little deteriorated. “A difficulty that I had at the time of starting the work was the low quality of the image since, according to my experience, a good resolution is required to perceive and treat the details more easily, especially if it is necessary to add color, in these cases it is best to scan the photo at 300 dpi” the author said. Don’t miss the amazing final result!
