Early Summer In Apiary 09/06/2020

Difficult days in apiary, with the arrival of the heat many animals approach the hives to try to take advantage of some easy prey. In addition to the early season and flowering in close succession led to a second swarmphase.

In fact, just behind some beautiful poppy flowers, there was a macabre scene.

Here is the case of Rhynocoris iracundus, that feeding on bees waits for them on the way back to have an easy booty to catch.

Its colors do not make it easy to camouflage, in fact it was not difficult to notice it to take some photos

The poor bee was doomed by now, and I let nature take its course.

With the arrival of summer, however, many blooms are surrounding our bees,as an example, these fantastic flowers of bramble.

As we said, new swarms are coming despite the now advanced period of the season.

This is actually a big problem, if we consider that shortly, during the period of July, treatments against the varroa mite will take place, so families too small may not be able to prepare to survive the winter.

See you next time!
