Tomatoes are always something, no matter how you do it. I don't do umadum for long, put the seeds from last season in potting soil in a tetrapack, prick them, put them in reusable plastic trays (tomato soil) and after the ice saints outdoors under a roof, always have a lot of tomatoes, peppers, chillies etc. all summer .
