I was able to get some much needed sleep last night and this morning. Once I got up, I made coffees for us, and set about trying to fashion a shopping list ( @silvertop needed a new battery for the truck, and I didn’t think about what I might need from Costco until then, lol 😆) We ran through the music 🎵 for tomorrow’s worship service, and then set about getting ready to go.
As I was waiting for @silvertop to get the old battery 🪫 in the car 🚗, I wanted to see if the purple flower had started blooming yet. It’s just a wildflower that blooms in the yard-I don’t know the name of it. As I approached where it was, I heard a buzzing noise like I’d walked into a hive of bees 🐝. It wasn’t the Apple 🍎 tree as I would have expected, but was in fact, the Japanese Bloodgood Maple tree 🌳! How odd! So, I stepped into the branches of the tree and waited. I was rewarded soon afterwards! The tree was being buzzed by a multitude of bees 🐝 busy flying from little flower to flower that I didn’t even realize this tree had!
It’s was awesome to watch them all fly from flower to flower up close and personal like! I’ve done this before with digitalis and bees. Thus far, I’ve not gotten stung. I know the risk, but the pictures are worth it!
Finally, we set out for the store. Tons of people were at Costco. When we got done ✔️, we went to the store in Bellingham that carries restaurant supplies to get some coffee syrups and cups plus a new container of Girahdelli frappe mix. As summer approaches, I will pull out my Ninja and make my own frappes rather than buy them. And, speaking of that, we headed to our local haunt to get said mocha frappe. It was time to head for home. I had texted our neighbor Joan as I found a 2 pack of Bear spray at Costco at a reasonable price. I asked if she would like us to pick it up for her and she replied with a resounding yes! We have a Bear 🐻 up here this year and I guess we are all planning to be prepared!
Anyway, tomorrow brings church ⛪️ which we are leading the worship. 🎶🎵 That’s gonna be it for now. Have a blessed evening and take care. Please continue to pray for Ukraine 🇺🇦
