Can you hear me?

This morning found us heading to church early to run through music for the service. Yesterday at practice, we had some kind of interference going on with my wireless mic. We were hoping it wouldn’t rear its head today. It didn’t-not with my mic, but with the church’s handheld and our in ear monitors! Hmmmmm…..🧐 very perplexing!

So this will set us up for another weekend of trouble shooting. We also will be changing some of the microphones frequencies to see if we can stop it. Keeping in mind that Sumas is a border town and that there’s plenty of official frequencies that are currently being used that could possibly be the culprit. We’ll figure it out but it’s just annoying!

It was another stellar day weather wise, and we decided despite the bears, to head to Westergreen’s. Jan came with. We were hunting for Morels, but I think the heatwave last weekend did them in. We found a few piles of Bear scat along the way.

We were on the way down and about 30’ from where the forest gives way to an open space when from the right running and heading to the left, came a young juvenile black Bear! 🐻 We we’re all so taken aback, we just stopped and stared! Then reality set in and in unison, we started slowly backing up into the forest. No time to even think about a pic unfortunately. After we had backed up about 50’ or so, we then debated about our options. The bear was young enough that mom could have been with it. We stood there for a bit hoping it was long enough that if she was, she would have followed it by then. Then, we cautiously edged forward and out into the open area. 😅🐻
