I had a sense of achievement today, when I saw that the actifit counter was on par with the kilometres of my bike tour. Approximately every 1km is counted as 333, so a third I would assume and that is totally fine. The first couple if days it was more in the one to ten range, but I changed the settings on my phone and then it worked like magic.
After this incredible win over modern technology, I went into my garden and challenged another mighty opponent.
Nature itself 😀.
Grapes are growing pretty fast and birds love them, when they turn from green to blue, so I protected them with protective bags. They are perfectly suited for grapes, but my clumsy hands ripped to cluster off the plant. Nature gives and nature takes. I accepted a draw and moved on.
Finally I can post my biggest win of the day and of the season. Slugs ate almost every plant early on in spring, when they were not properly protected, but one zucchini plant weathered the crawling and creeping onslaught and is now ready.

It is the little things in life, that matter and my win against these sluggish monsters may be a small step for mankind, but is a giant leap for this hobby gardener and his self-esteem 🙂.
