Story of a suspected cancer patient!
A patient had been suffering from urinary problems for a little over 2 months. He already consulted a GP doctor in another clinic. A urine test and an abdominal ultrasound were done around one and a half months ago. He was told to consult a urologist ASAP. He couldn't tell the details, but he didn't listen to the doctor. He was waiting!
One of his friends, having almost similar problem, got treatment from me and got well. Hoping that I would cure him as well, he decided to visit me. Hearing his complaints, I suggested a urine test. I also asked him to bring the previous reports to find out why previous GP doctors told him to see a urologist urgently!
This time, his urine test showed features of infection. His previous urine report was normal. However, the ultrasound report was quite significant and a scary one! The sonographer found a 5 cm mass at his right VUJ (the junction between the right ureter and urinary bladder) with changes in the right kidney due to the mass! The sonographer suspected that it could be cancer! That's why the patient was told to see a urologist ASAP to evaluate the mass!
Seeing the previous report, my mindset also changed! A urine infection is a much lesser issue compared to a possible cancer! I gave him some medicines for the infection, but I urged him to see a urologist ASAP. I hope that he listens to a doctor this time!
On Tuesday, I consulted 20 patients in my chamber. It wasn't a busy day. I examined some people who came for the fitness tests.
At home, I couldn't walk on the treadmill. I slept in the morning and in the afternoon. However, I could make over 9k steps on Tuesday!
Okay. That's all for today. Alhamdulillah, I am alive, healthy, and thriving. How about you?
