sometimes, plans don't go as you expected them to be.
i said yes to this activity yesterday with the plans of not buying anything.
stash is running low and i wanted to start saving, but i still wanted to go out in the hopes of having more step count.
the place was far, it is technically outside tokyo in the neighboring saitama prefecture.
and the venue was huge, that pretty much insured thousands of step count.
arriving at the train station, this are is pretty wide.
it already looks promising with that high ceiling.
it honestly looked like a plane hangar.
arriving at the venue, wow it is huge!
oh, i should have told you sooner, we are here for the winter sports festa.
japan is one of those countries that have a huge following on winter sports, and this event just proves that.
stationed in japan for years now, i too have adapted this love for winter sports.
it was not until last year that i bought for myself some winter sports wear and successfully used that in the previous winter.
it was at that point when i learned how convenient it was to have your personal wear.
in previous years, i have always rented wears and you can never really choose how good a rented wear will be.
there were cases where i wore winter wear in bad condition and style.
knowing that i already owned a second hand wear, i'm pretty confident that i will not get swayed by any sold in this event.
that all crumbled the moment i saw one which caught my eye.
so sorry to inform but my wallet bled again this time.
this event not only sells winter wear but also gears, like skii, snowboard and boots.
helmets, gloves, googles are also sold.
it is a one stop shop for all your needs to enjoy the winter sports this coming winter.
and because it is an event, all items were sold at a discount.
the one i bought was at a 50% off, not a bad buy but still worse than planned.
as we went out by the cashier, we were then greeted by the many skii resorts booth also in the event.
they were selling lift tickets in their resorts at a discount.
they had all sorts of posters, leaflets, and even wide tvs for their ads.
that definitely looked like a fiesta.
after all that walks, we finally headed out to the mall next door for dinner.
well decorated with all the lights, christmas is coming after all.
now back to the mission.
initially i planned not to buy anything, that failed as i bought skii/snowboard wear.
good thing that i was not swayed to buy a matching pants.
i also planned to go for the step count, not a total failure but fewer than planned.
all those walking around produced minimal results.
less than 7 thousand steps is not good at all.
total failure!
as always, AMPING KANUNAY!
