My friend and I played a couple of rounds of disc golf this morning at the local nine-basket course. Everything close to the river seems to be having a big issue with mosquitoes right now so we stuck to the easy course.
I ended up winning both rounds but the first round was close at +6 to +8 on the eighteen-hole layout. The second-round scores were a -1 to a +6 on the easier nine-basket course. My friend had a bit of an issue with one of the holes when trying to throw a bit too hard.
I was throwing my new Loft Bohrium disc a lot and went out of bounds long because of it. Usually, I would not throw a fast driver on the 236-foot uphill hole but having a nice new disc makes you want to throw it and I have parked the basket before with it. The throw needs to carry to the right on a backhand and the disc holds an anhyzer very nicely and will glide a long way if you are not careful.
I'm impressed so far with the disc. It is a bit flippy though and I would rate it somewhere around a -2 to -3 turn instead of the -1 they rate it at. In my case, this makes it a bit better for getting max distance out of.

These potato plants grew out of the compost pile this year. I have not watered them at all but they seem to be doing fine.

It depends on which friend but usually I win more than the other people that I play with that are my age.

The color is what really caught my attention when I was out collecting raspberries from the yard.

I would not have guessed they were potato flowers. So sweet looking. I bet living in the compost pile is a very happy, fertile place for them.
I think they have been getting plenty of good nutrients and there is some water flow in the area in the rainy season. The blackberries and raspberries do well without any additional water.

It sure is nice to be able to do what I like. I feel very fortunate to be able to play disc golf. I was not sure I would be able to do it physically but if anything I think that it has improved a lot of my issues. It is a win win to stay physically fit from something you enjoy.
This is dear @lightsplasher the same thing happens to me doing yoga, it has improved my physical and mental health a lot, I dedicate at least 20 minutes a day to it, you can also dedicate at least a few minutes to meditation before starting golf, it is very comforting, it is the first thing I develop before doing yoga. Look at those potato plants! They are getting the best nutrients and it makes me laugh when something comes up in the compost pile. The things that come up most for me are watermelon, pumpkin, and tomatoes!
You did pretty well in the game today! It is always a little more fun when you have a friend to play with. You have come such a long way from last year with your understanding and being able to predict how the disc will react. It is interesting to keep following you and seeing how you evolve with it.

I have seen those sometimes too but they don't do as well. Potatoes can get dried out or start breaking down so they are not good eating. They seem to like the compost. It is getting hotter around here too. Not too bad though.
