In the beginning, it was that "nobody has to do anything else than to publish daily reports, as usual, everyday participants will be matched in pairs, where they will compete who will report more steps in the Actifit application. Failure to report on a certain day means a walkover for the opponent." Just like it is in a soccer league. It was in March, we had 18 participants from all over the world (Australia, Bulgaria, Ghana, Kenia, Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, UK, France, Canada, Lithuania and Poland), so everyone plays against each other twice.

The level of activity was very various, some of the users reported over 50K steps when others made less than 10K. I understand that it isn't the result of laziness but there are many factors that determined this: daily routine, work, weather condition etc. That's why I introduced a special handicap factor for everyone in the next tournament, which was in form of play-off. The reported steps are divided by this factor. Maybe it looks complicated, but believe me, it isn't.

To join the next round, you have to just say that you want to join, I will make a note and a couple of days before it starts I will contact you.

The exact schedule of the past games you can find here.
