Hello everyone π,
Happy Monday π and a very warm welcome to my world π. It's a new week and the stepping continued unabated. Please keep reading π as I fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for being here and let's take it away π¨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. I did enjoy that fresh morning breezeπ. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going πΉ. Otherwise a quiet day.
On the continent, it's exactly one month since fighting started in Sudan. More than 500 civilians deadπ, thousands of people have fled while some are stuck in Khartoum where the most fighting is taking place. I wonder what happened to the peace talks that were taking place in Saudi Arabia.
Turkey trending after yesterday's election. The presidential run off will be conducted on 28 May as no candidate won more than half the vote. Erdogan got 49%, closest challenger Kemal Kiricdaroglu got 44 %. Third place Sinan Ogan won 5.2% and his supporters could be decisive in the run off.
Elsewhere in Ukraine, the Ukrainian forces have made advancement in Bakmutπ. Meanwhile they are planning a big counter offensive to capture other areas that are Russian occupied.
Speaking of Ukraine, president Zelensky continued his European trip. Today meeting UK PM, Rishi Sunak in England. Seeking support and more weapons to help in the ongoing war.
In the middle east, Palestinians today have been marking, 75 years of Nakba or day of catastrophe. It's with deep sorrow they remember 1948, when thousands were killed, many forced out of their landπ.
Finally in crazy weather, cyclone Mocha finally made landfall caused damage to homes and power cuts in Bangladesh and Myanmarπ.
So that was Monday and I wanna thank you for reading this far π. I truly appreciate your continued support π and love π. Sending back that love π and lots of blessings πΌπ to everyone.
See you again tomorrow on a terrific Tuesday βΊοΈ. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max π―. So that's it, stay safe, take care and good bye πππ
