Today September 30th marks the 62nd anniversary of the premiere on television of the well-known and famous series The Flintstones.
This cartoon series was aimed more at adult audiences than at children, as it dealt with social issues of the American society of the time, just as The Simpsons did years later.
Its creators were the well-known William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, also responsible for other great animation successes such as Scooby-Doo and Yogi Bear.
The plot of the series focuses on a Stone Age society in which futuristic elements of the twentieth century are introduced through the lives of two families formed by Fred Flintstone, Wilma Flintstone, Barne Rubble and Betty Rubble.
The series was a great success and remains in the memory of all of us.
