Easy Weekend!
I didn’t have much on tap for this weekend as we were sticking close to home and needed a quiet one. So, it is a chance to avoid running around too much but enjoying our small vibrant town. Let’s join my old friend @old-guy-photos for #sublimesunday
After a sublime morning on my chair with the @ecency app and the blockchain, it was off to the academy for a session of learning how to better kill humans in a padded room. Here, you see some specific sparring where we are practicing escaping from one of the worst places to be in a fight. Mounted.
Then, it was time for a walk in the square for a drink with friends. Supporting the struggling restaurants is noble enough but visiting with friends is just as good for the soul.
I had an ace up my sleeve for this one as I have been working with another local brewery and knew that it was permitted to drink beer in the square if you purchase it there and display the sticker. So all the other suckers had their coffee and I enjoyed a nice New England ipa.
We weren’t done though! My better half had the idea we should golf a quick 9 and let the kids fend for themselves for dinner.
If you look closely, you can see my better half's approach to the green and my green ball up on the edge of the rough.
@sequentialvibe will get a kick out of this shot as he cased a section of trees on our last round that had a river running through it and he swore there were 30 balls in there. We visited in a covert juvenile mission with the ball retrievers and came out with 40!! We will give him his third of this haul.
Lastly was a session on the couch watching the Bluejays warm up for the playoffs! Definitely not expected from the beginning of the season but the jays in October is a rare treat.
Lastly, I share the steps that lead me to one of my happy places. The deck I am planning on rebuilding next summer, a local beer, my favourite lounge chair and the northwestern sky on one of the last warm evenings of the year.
It was a great day!

Getting in the habit of capturing scenes I might just speed on by help live in the moment and is good for the blog!
Try never to leave the house with some camera if possible, it become quite addictive, bonus is you have memories in the moment!
