Zoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom, there she goes!! Another week disappears in the rearview mirror and we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home.

Tuesday is here again, which can only mean one thing, another three tunes from me and hopefully from lots of you good folks too. How are all of you music loving rockers from Howth to the Honolulu doing on this fine evening? Sure, isn't great to be alive all the same.

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so lets roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 66th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday. It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing and that playlist that @blackdaisyft is updating (when she gets time) has ripped past the 600 mark that I mentioned before and at the last count was at an mightily impressive 639 unique tunes and trucking steadily towards 700. Thank you for doing that by the way daisy, when you do find time, as I like throwing on the playlist from time to time reminding myself of all of the sweet tunes that have been shared down through the months - Good on you.

Weekly, I try to find two or three hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has lead me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and fins some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tags that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Here are my week sixty six recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Nat King Cole - Route 66

If I mentioned Nathaniel Adams Coles, not many would know who that is, but if I mention his stage name Nat King Cole, most people with an interest in music will know who I am talking about. As I typed in the title of this week's post which was "......for Three Tune Tuesday Week 66" route 66 popped straight into my mind and I decided why not go with a theme for week 66 and that theme is Route 66 and road trips in America.

Route 66 is of course a song written and made famous by Nat King Cole and covered by many distinguished artists over the years. It's an old classic and even 57 years after the famous jazz pianist left this world, his happy vibes live on through the 100+ songs that he left behind. With that let me introduce this week's first tune Route 66 by Nat King Cole.

The Eagles - Take It Easy

Ok you get that my theme this week is route 66 and now a few of you are scratching your heads wondering what The Eagles and Take it Easy have to do with Route 66?
Ok so it is this line from the third verse which references Winslow, Arizona which is off course on the famous highway that stretches from Chicago to Los Angeles.

“Well, I’m a standin’ on a corner in Winslow, Arizona”

Always good to get an Eagles song into a Three Tune Tuesday set, so I am glad I remembered that line as I racked my brain for Route 66 references, initially I was going to share three versions of the same song, namely Route 66, as it has been covered many many times by artists I like such as Depeche Mode, The Rolling Stones and Tom Petty to name a few, but in the end I opted for three different songs so as to ensure a good workout for your collective ears, so here we go with song number two Take It Easy by The Eagles.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Up Around The Bend & AC/DC - Highway to Hel & Razorlight - America

So I had a few ideas for a finishing song for the Route 66 theme this week, and I kind of struggled to land on one, so I decided to perform a Three Tune Tuesday shimmy and include the three of them, so for this week only it is a Five Tune Tuesday from me. I really hope that you enjoy the Route 66 road-trip inspired tunes that I have shared this week.

Creedence Clearwater Revival are an absolute must on any American roadtrip and sure a bit of AC/DC and Razorlight aren't three bad either.

I have done a few road trips in America in my time, driving from San Jose to San Diego one year and driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in a convertible Mustang the following year. You'll notice I didn't mention the car in the first trip as it was a hape of shite rented from a company that were actually called "Rent a heap cheap!" Yep we were students and we rented the heap cheap and you know what it got us to San Diego and it got us back and we even had a spin down to Mexico, although we didn't bring the car down there, we just went down for one night of madness! That trip was such craic and it was me and 4 other nineteen year old Irish lads looking for a good time and a laugh and man did we find it in San Diego and Mexico.

The second road trip was to Las Vegas with my then girlfriend (now wife) and another couple, so it was a different sort of road trip, but it was still class and was my second time to Las Vegas. Arriving to Las Vegas by car after dark is one cool experience I must admit, just cruising up the strip past the huge hotels, casinos and neon lights.

Ok, onwards to those three tunes I promised... Here you go:

Nice one, thanks for such a supportive and positive comment. Delighted the tunes resonated with you.

Wow! Extraordinary musical selection for this week @ablaze.

Route 66 in Nat King Cole's rendition is a universal classic, and no matter how many years go by, it always sounds good.

Eagles and Credence with a couple of 70's folk rock classics, one of those songs that refuse to die.

I didn't know the band Razorlight, but the song America is simply extraordinary.

Of course, AC-DC is and always will be AC-DC. It is an indispensable band in a good playlist.

And by the way, here is the link to my first participation in this weekly initiative, I hope you enjoy it:

What a great theme, I had a blast in Las Vegas, and that is a must for anyone if they get the chance.
Love the picks and AC/DC just wow;)

Hi @ablaze! Nice to see you again. All the songs are great, I really like the Creedence Clearwater Revival one, it always does me good to hear this band, especially when I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. Razorlight I don't remember hearing them before, they sound good though.

Thanks for creating such a great space. A big hug.

Aw... this is why I came back to do #ttt.

It's the heart, dude.

I never saw the prompt and theme for the week... I did try to find it... honest. But kids and work and time and scanning and giving up and doing it anyway :)

And you still let me participate, dropped by to say hello and didn't even say anything about my endlessly shoddy admin. ❤️

My kind of humans.

Great idea.

Please feel free to tag me in future prompts so I can get this right! 💥

AND I keep finding new music.

Win win 💥

Never heard of Razorlight. Like 👍
